Spatial Madness

Early 17th Century Gloves

These gloves were reputedly given by King James I of England to Edward Denny. They were made some time between 1603 and 1625 and are made of leather and satin. The embroidery contains depictions of flowers and animals such as a snail, a lion and a sheep.
