She raises an eyebrow when he mentions his profession but doesn't outright say what it is. "And what, exactly, is your profession? If you don't mind me asking, that is. Or is that something that should be discussed somewhere more private?"

Jade takes his arm, walking by his side. She feels something brush against her back for a second and it makes her shudder momentarily. She was supposed to go to New York, but something tells her this isn't her New York.

"I was raised in Vermont. I didn't know my accent was that strong."

With the potential threat identified, Jade is able to hold the gun in her hands steady. She watches his approach only putting the gun away when she sees him put his bow away and his raised empty hands. She seriously needed to get her teleportation device fixed so things like this stopped happening.

"I am lost. Something's wrong with my teleportation device and I keep ending up in the middle of nowhere with no idea where I am or what timeline I've ended up in. Or maybe I'm purposely being given the wrong coordinates in the hope that I won't back it back safely."
