Jade lets out a sigh. "No. She was with me when I came back. We were too similar to one another in our coping mechanisms so we just weren't good for each other."

"Hey, wait a minute, you're hurt... How long have you been hiding this?!"

"It's... it's not that bad. It's just a scratch." Jade had been favoring one of her arms for about five to ten minutes now, keeping her injured one close to her side.

With the potential threat identified, Jade is able to hold the gun in her hands steady. She watches his approach only putting the gun away when she sees him put his bow away and his raised empty hands. She seriously needed to get her teleportation device fixed so things like this stopped happening.

"I am lost. Something's wrong with my teleportation device and I keep ending up in the middle of nowhere with no idea where I am or what timeline I've ended up in. Or maybe I'm purposely being given the wrong coordinates in the hope that I won't back it back safely."

The sound of leaves rustling is enough to get her attention, making her draw a gun and hold it tightly in both hands. She stays as still as possible, listening to see where someone or something might be coming from.

Her head whips around in the direction of the voice she hears, her gun aimed in the direction of the voice as well. "W-Who's there? Show yourself! "What do you want??" The rock being thrown in her direction was enough to startle her, nearly making her drop the gun she is holding.

"It's okay. Honestly, it was probably for the best."

She moves her injured arm a little, testing her current mobility, before signing. "Guess I won't be working tonight."

"One of my boyfriend's runs a club. I work there as a dancer. i also bartend." She looks around at the much more crowded street and frowns. So much for going somewhere they can talk more freely.

"indigenous. Is there anywhere else we could go that is less crowded? I have several questions I'd like to ask you and I can't exactly do that with so many people around. Someone might overhear us."

"Yes. Although, I was born in Australia. I have been meaning to go back there."

She raises an eyebrow when he mentions his profession but doesn't outright say what it is. "And what, exactly, is your profession? If you don't mind me asking, that is. Or is that something that should be discussed somewhere more private?"

She stood there while he tried to process everything she had just said. She was completely used to people being confused and not believing what she said at this point that it didn't bother like it used to.

"Why isn't it safe? Where exactly are we? My name is Jade. Jade Harley. But you can just call me Jade. Who are you referring to??"
