synopsis: coming to Yuji's with a broken heart, he definitely changes your mind on dating again.

Tears stream down your face as you run through the neighborhood. Some  drivers honk at you rudely and you trip a couple times but you made it to his house. Your balled up fist knocked harshly at the door as you waited for Yuji to answer.

When the door opened, your eyes fixated on him. His hair was a messy mop of pink strands. He looked down at you with heavy eyelids and a confused smile.

“Y/n? What are you doing here?” He asked confused, leaning on the door.

“Just open the door, please.”

Yuji wasn’t good with reading cues, or understanding cues. Being the sunshine person he is, he accepted, letting you in.

“So, uhm, what’s wrong?”

A low, shaky breath draws from your lips as you blink back more tears. Yuji hesitates to ask again, stepping back from you.

“Do you need anything?”

“No, I’m fine.”

His shoulders started to slouch as he looked for ways to help you. You did just walk in his house without saying what’s wrong anyway.

“Y/N, come.” He calls you over gently. You walk over to him, where he pats the seat of the couch next to him. You sit, leaning on the back of it. He noticed how your normal bubbly demeanor was gone and you seemed distressed. His lanky fingers outstretched to your hand, covering it.

“If you’re worried to tell me, it’s fine. But I’d like to know before you leave, please?”

You feel a burning sensation in your eyes as you blink fast again. You hate when people can see you like this, but what’s the point of coming over and not talking?

The pink haired boy waits patiently as you sit there, watching you.

“So, uhm, remember when we went out with (boyfriends name)?”

He nods, with a smile on his face. “Yeah! The guy who paid for all our stuff from the mall, right?” 

“Yeah, he-“  “And I remember that photo he showed us of you!” He rambled on, almost like he couldn’t stop. “It was so adorable-“

“He cheated on me.”

Yuji was stuck between silence and words, his expression too difficult to read. He wanted to say something so bad, but he was too shocked. Soon, he felt Sukuna switch in, those familiar black lines fading in his face. 

“He did what?”  Sukuna’s menacing voice sent shivers down your spine. Him and Yuji were very distinctive now.

“Yeah, and he told me he didn’t mean it.”

“Didn’t mean it? Obviously he did. His loyalty is as shallow as his morals.”

 You giggle a bit, your hand covering your mouth.

“That wasn’t supposed to be funny, brat.”

“I thought it was!”

Sukuna rolls his eyes, looking down at his nails. He looks back at you with a grin.

“Are you going to be like those other amusing humans and get revenge?”

“No, I think I’ll just be on my own for a while.”

Something sparks in Yuji, as there’s an abrupt switch. He pants, wiping his forehead. 

“You said you’ll be single for a while?”

“Yeah, why?”

You see him suddenly smile, him scooting closer to you.

“How about you give me a try?”

Your eyes widen and you deeply blush. His eyes search yours again, waiting patiently for your response.

“Is that a yes?” He says, his thoughts almost contradicting him. Even with his smile, he hopes that you say yes.

“Well, I’m not saying no, but don’t you think it’s too soon-“

Yuji’s rosy pink lips smash onto yours, cutting you off. The kiss feels so rushed, but so right. There’s a sense of euphoria in the air as you return his kiss. His fingers find their way in the nape of your neck, traveling to your hair. Your hands cup his face, the pad of your thumbs on his plump cheeks. After about a minute or two, you both part away, breaking for air. Your lips tingle, still feeling the remnants of his pair. As you look at him, his signature smile returns, shyly scratching his forehead. 

“Can we kiss again?”

Sukuna sits with his leg crossed in his chair, listening to the scene unfold from Yuji’s head.

“Ah, two brats falling in love.”

A/N: in this fic gojo and geto ARE alive leave me alone

Shoko's words rung in your ears as you held onto her body. She was called as an emergency backup for Gojo, even though she retired from the sorcery lifestyle. Knowing Shoko, she knew that Gojo was stubborn but smart enough to handle himself. And, dying for him was an understatement.

After a few minutes, Gojo was limping over to you. Half of his left leg was bleeding, a huge gash forming on it. He had no words, seeing your somber expression. He dared not to break the silence, his hand on your shoulder. All you could think about was your guys' favorite song, and how many lyrics transported you to your favorite moments in your lifetime.

"I, I JUST WOKE UP FROM A DREAM / WHERE YOU AND I HAD TO SAY GOODBYE" - From losing many friends in sorcerer work, you had many nightmares. Shoko was always there for you, half-asleep while rubbing your back and kissing your face all over. Nightmares came for her as well, and its probably the only time you've seen her cry so hard. She was in a cold sweat, the blood from her face was drained. Small pieces of hair was stuck to her forehead as she frantically clutched the bedsheets. It took a while to shush her because she kept rambling on about how real it felt, and if she wasn't imagining it-

"Look, Sho. Look, I'm here." You showed her your hand, which she looped her fingers through. "Nothing in that dream will hurt you. You're safe with me, okay?" Her head found the crook of your neck as she nodded, still a bit sweaty but she knew you didn't mind. "I really need a cigarette right now." Dismissing her want for a cigarette, you suggested taking a cold shower. "Only if you join me.."

"Of course I'll join you, idiot."

"IF THE WORLD WAS ENDING, ID WANNA BE NEXT TO YOU" - You remembered that time when you were first official with Shoko. The year was just freshly 2006. (This might be weird to imagine, but that was when she was 17 😭) Shoko was lying next to you on her dorm bed, playing with little strands of your hair. You two are in the midst of talking about how you would die together.

"Well, I hope that when I die, we die together. If the world was ending, I'd rather be close to you."

You blush a bit, sitting up a bit to see Shoko's expression.

"Why are you blushing like that for? It's true, I'd rather die next to you!"

"IF THE PARTY WAS OVER, AND OUR TIME ON EARTH WAS THROUGH" - You remembered hearing Shoko's vows, her eyes barely leaving yours when she wrote them. It was a makeshift wedding, since Gojo didn't know many people to invite. The 1st and 2nd years attended, along with a few friends and staff members of Jujutsu High. That was almost your second home.

When Shoko was reading her vows to you, you felt appreciated. She was one of the only people out of anyone you ever knew to understand you so easily. You weren't sure if it was because you were both girls, or because you two always hung out, but there was something peculiar about how she knew you, almost like she could spot you in a crowd full of your own clones. Like how a dog can sense a fearful person. Like how a venus flytrap can feel it's prey. It was scary to say the least, but you wouldn't want it any other way. Watching her as she spoke, you noticed her smudged lipstick. Making a gesture, she noticed, and wiped it.

At the reception, you changed out of your wedding dress into a shorter, less formal dress. The party was going nice, and you couldn't stop thinking about how the girl of your dreams was finally yours.

"AND I'D WANNA HOLD YOU, JUST FOR A WHILE / AND DIE WITH A SMILE" - finding your way back to your deceiving reality, you saw it. You saw your wife's signature smile. Even though her eyelids were fighting to stay open. Even though her heart was starting to beat slower. And, even with dry tears staining your cheeks.

"Stop crying, love. You know I don't like when you're sad." You could only dismissively scoff, almost forgetting that Shoko was dying.

"Come, come here." She weakly holds her arms out, wanting you to hug her one last time. You knelt down and hugged her, hot tears building up in your eyes.

"Squeeze, squeeze hard." She silently spoke, hearing your soft sniffles.

"No, Sho, I want you to stay. Stay with me, and Gojo and Geto. And see how Yuji is developing along with Megumi and Nobara. I want us to have as many kids as you were willing to raise, o-or how many pets you wanted to get." You explained through choked tears, pulling away from the hug to cup her face. She just smiled.

"Silly girl," she snickered, her fingers grasping to your chin. "We'll have that. Not here, but one day we will." You looked at her with disbelief.

"Maybe we weren't meant to die old together in this universe, but this band on our hands proves us otherwise."

Is she trying to say that you two will be together in every universe?

"I'm so sorry that I'm leaving you here, love. But in our next lifetime I promise we can adopt a million kids and a million pets, and get married over and over.. only with you."

"Do you pinky swear?" "Yes, I pinky swear."

And after that day, it has been a while since you slept at your own home.
