You're Overthinking Your Theriotype Research.
You're overthinking your theriotype research.
"What do I act like. Whats my personality. Whats my mood? Whats-"
What do you feel like.
You could be a wolf that likes being pet and like toys.
You could be a cat that likes water and forests.
You could even be a dog that prefers forests.
Therianthropy is what YOU feel like you are.
If what you're personality "shows" you are is something that you feel like you arent. Then you arent. Despite what the signs are.
YOU ARE WHAT YOU FEEL LIKE YOU ARE.
This doesn't mean "oh I WANT to be a bird so ill pick bird." No- do you *feel* more like a bird than human?
Remember. Getting your theriotype wrong is normal. Theriotypes changing is normal. Were all non-human together.
DONT OVERTHINK IT!

Does anybody else hate that sometimes therianthropy is treated like a cute aesthetic rather than an animalistic identity?
I get species euphoria by ripping objects apart, chasing animals, eating without utensils, walking on my toes, feeling how sharp my canine teeth are, among other things. None of these things are dainty or aesthetic, and to the average person it's probably not acceptable/normal behavior.
I feel like therians should (in a reasonable manner, we're still humans/humanoids guys) show this side more. Being animalistic in some way is part of being a therian and it shouldn't be shameful
Note: Im not 100 percent active in the alterhuman community so if I've gotten anything wrong since the last time I was here forgive me

Tired of this "therianthropy IS NEVER fun!!!" talk, what about those of us who do find it extremely funšš
Hello! Could I ask for some activities and maybe snacks for a domestic catkin?
Ooo! What a fun one! You want some snacks? I got you covered my feline friend!
--šāā¬--
Activities for domestic cats:
Play with cat toys! (string, balls, etc.)
Keep up with your nails! Keep them nice and sharp
Do some cat themed make up
Take a nap in a sunny window
Wear cat ears and a tail
Take short "cat naps"
Sit and observe something
If you have pet fish/birds or squirrels outside, watch them closeley and notice all of their little movements
Practice your best purring and meowing sounds
If you have nails, scratch something with them
Knead a pillow with your hands before you use it
Wear toasty and warm clothes (especially ones with faux fur!)
Cuddle up near a fireplace
Buy or make paw gloves/mittens!
Pounce on pillows
Go for a walk outside
Get a cozy beverage
--šāā¬--
Snack ideas for a cat therian:
Sushi
Canned tuna'
Snacks topped with mint leaves (catnip is related to mint plants!)
Fish sticks
Gold fish
Dry cereal (kibble esq?)
Ham and other deli meat sandwiches
THERIANTHROPY DOESNT HAVE RULES! it's a personal experience and different for everyone. Some therians have a dog and a cat theriotype. Some even have POLAR OPPISITES. I know someone who's a snowleopard and a deer! NO RULES IN THERIANTHROPY! don't let other people restrict what you feel.
I donāt frequent the TikTok therian community much, but I really do enjoy the idea of a ātherian summer campā that I see posted about on there. Thereās something so fun and sweet about it.
Cabins for housing all the kinds of animals that come, you could stay with your own species or be with all different kinds of animals you wouldāve never met otherwise
Birds nesting in the top bunks, foxes and rabbits creating their dens in the bottom bunks
Activities that teach how to cook and add new species-appropriate dishes to your diet
Lots of hiking and time in nature, reflective meditation time out in the trees or water for those who want a peaceful activity
Being able to behave naturally without feeling bad or weird, because everyone there is an animal! Everyone would see it as normal when/if you were to respond with barks or squeaks or yips or meows or whatever your instinct is
Drawing and trading little portraits of your fellow camp mates, going to arts and crafts activities and making friendship bracelets and tie dye T-shirts or gear like masks and ears
Music and dance done by community members, poems read and art shared with each other
The last night could be held on a full moon, with everyone coming together for performances and food and play under the moonlight š©¶
Itās so fun to think about
