‘Excuse me, sir/ma’am? You dropped your purse/wallet back there, here you go.’ ‘Good morning, please would you sign my petition about — ?’  ‘Pardon me, but have you seen this cat/dog? They got out yesterday and I’ve been looking everywhere!’ ‘Hello! Have you a moment to talk about —-?’  ‘Excuse me? Do you have the time, please?’  ‘Hello, do you — do you know the way to — ?’  ‘I– I’m so sorry to intrude, but I couldn’t help but overhear your conversation about —’ ‘Yiiiikes, if that’s happening, you definitely need to make an appointment with the doctor!’  ‘Do you mind? Can you not talk about…such things… in public?’ ‘Um, I’m so sorry about your breakup. I couldn’t help but overhear….’  ‘Hey, I don’t know you but I couldn’t just stay silent. Are you okay? Do you need anything?’ ‘Christ, they were being such a dick to you, bud. It’s uncalled for. Do you want me to hang around with you in case they come back?’ ‘Oi, you! D’you have a light?’ ‘Hey, are you —-’s relative? You look so much like them it’s unreal!’  ‘Please can I have your autograph?…Oh, wait, sorry! You must hear this all of the time, but you look just like —-.’ ‘SANDRA, I LOVE YOU! …Oh, hell. You’re not Sandra. Heh. Awkward.’ ‘Please can you get your feet off of that seat? There’s no other seats available on this train/bus.’  ‘Hey — Sorry, please can I sit next to you? Everywhere else is full.’  ‘Do your headphones work? I’m just asking because I think the entire train/bus/plane can hear your choice in ‘music’, mate…’ ‘Stop kicking my seat, for goodness sake!’ ‘Shsh! I’m trying to enjoy the movie/play/opera, and I can’t if you keep talking!’ ‘Oh, cheers, bud. Thanks for the spoiler! Looks like I can’t even go to my bloody convenience store without somebody talking about the latest episode of —-.’ ‘…Real classy to talk to people in public bathrooms, dude.’ ‘Do you mind if we share this taxi? I’m going to the same place that you are.’ ‘Please can you act like we know each other? That guy won’t leave me alone.’ ‘Woooah, how much have you had to drink? Let me call you a taxi.’  ‘Hey, this’ll sound weird, but do you need a lift? You haven’t even got a coat and it looks like this weather is about to get a whole load worse.’ ‘Please can you walk with me for a while? I think that someone is following me.’ ‘STOP THIEF! HELP! That guy just stole my purse/wallet!’ ‘Hey, hey, let’s sit you down for a minute, okay? You look like you’re going to pass right out.’ ‘Yikes, I just saw you trip over that thing. Are you okay?’ ‘FREE HUGS! Would you like a free hug, sir/ma’am?’  ‘Here, let me pay for the rest of it. We’re all going through hard times, it’s okay.’ ‘Heeeey, sorry, this is going to sound really weird…please could you pretend to be my boss? My mum is coming to meet me and I…may have kinda said I was out with work.’ ‘Please pretend to be my date. My ex has just walked in and I want to look a lot less pathetic and single.’ ‘Hey, do you mind coming to sit with me? My date just stood me up and this whole restaurant is looking like they pity me.’

Tangled the Series Rapunzel and Eugene 🥰

    Rapunzel was excited for this mentor program, it was a fun easy way to meet students from the sister campus that wanted to be involved in cross school activities. She remembered when she was a freshman and had meet her senior through this program, it had proved to be so much fun and she had formed a close bond with the older girl. Now she hoped she could do the same with whoever she was paired with!

    “Yup Rapunzel, that’s me!” When the door had opened, she had quickly turned to look at the short haired girl with a bright smile, nodding her head at her question. “You don’t have to worry about being late! Things happen and it’s completely understandable!’

    She knew from experience just how confusing the campus could be, after all she still got lost sometimes and it was simply only due to the two campus being so close together.

    “So Miss Haruhi, why don’t you tell me about yourself and what you’re hoping to gain from the mentor program?”

The Stonerock Mentor Program was supposed to act as a guide between older students and the freshman starting off at the college for the first time. Admittedly, Haruhi was disinterested in joining. But with her unwillingness to initiate most conversations, preferring to sit in the solace of her solitude, she (and her floor’s RA) decided that this program might be for the best.

The campus was massive, and Haruhi admittedly got lost looking for Rockside’s Theatre. Her brow furrowed in frustration as she continuously glanced at the map that had been given to her, yet she was still finding herself getting lost. After what felt like ages, she had finally maneuvered around campus and found the building. All she had to do was find the room number; which took more time. But finally she, one again, she found the room and saw a blonde haired girl sitting inside. Haruhi took a deep breath and opened the door.

“You’re Rapunzel, right?” she asked. She gave a small smile as she slid into the adjacent seat. “I’m Haruhi, your mentee for the cross-campus mentor program. Sorry that I’m late. I’m still trying to find my way across campus,” she said, lowering her head as her cheeks flushed from her embarrassment.

    “Oh.....I see.” She replied softly as she turned away from him. She wasn’t really sure what else she could say to him, he wasn’t a student at her university so she didn’t really have the right to reprimand him for not following the dorms rules. “Er, well I’ll have to ask you to leave the dorms at least”

Attention perking, Eugene raised his eyebrows  as he looked at Rapunzel. How long had she been there watching him flirt? It didn’t matter much because it wouldn’t have made any difference with now and his outcome of his flirting shenanigans. 

“Did I say something wrong?” he asked. Brown eyes narrowed together as he studied Rapunzel in an attempt to gauge her reaction. Eugene wasn’t entirely sure what he had said. But her words seemed like there was something more that she wanted to say, but wasn’t saying. And for a guy who didn’t want to get too far into it, miscommunication would have made the situation worst. And the last thing Eugene wanted was some sort of issue with Rapunzel.

“Listen, blondie, you shouldn’t look too far into it,” he said, straightening his posture as he rested his feet flat against the ground. “Like don’t get me wrong, you’re very good looking. Like very.” Eugene’s crossed towards one another as he said that. It was okay to admit that to your friends, right? 

“It’s just… like… I already tried flirting with you and it kinda backfired,” he admitted, scratching the side of his nose. “I’m not really the type of guy to pursue someone once it fails because… y’know… there’s plenty of fish in the sea and everything.”

    The moment Flynn had shown concern, Rapunzel had instantly felt bad for asking such a question. Yeah she was curious but as he went on to explain he had already tried flirting and she hadn’t even batted an eyelash, though to be fair she had assumed he was just being friendly cause of her cursed shelter life before she had gone to college.

    She couldn’t help but cover her face with her hands, she felt so horrible for having asked and should have just accepted that she was lucky enough to be different than the other girls to the point of being able to call him a friend and get more than just random dates with him. And honestly that was all she could ask for with how much attention Flynn could get with his looks and flirtatious ways.

    “Oh gosh....I’m sorry if I worried you with that question! I’m perfectly fine promise! Well....not fine since I do feel bad for worrying you, but other than that I’m dandy!!” She tried to give him the best smile she could as she stood up and moved to sit next to him.

    “Although, you might give up a little too easily after one rejection. I don’t think you’ll ever be able to find the one if you don’t try more than once with people.” She winked at him playfully before nudging his arm slightly. “I’m waiting for the day you get all gushy about a guy or girl you know.”
