My love, the passover is upon us and despite not being a woman who believes in religion- you are a man who admires Jesus very much.

Comparing your situation to the lads, you would often say as we sat in that cell- awaiting the day they would end our lives- that there was meaning and reason behind your sacrifice.

I never understood your words, for there was too much pain and grief to weave through my love.

That sacrifice should not have had to be made, but you took it upon yourself to keep us safe and you are more like that lovely lad that you admire so much- than you can possibly fathom.

I may not be religious, but I do see the comparison, since he was such a loving and compassionate human being.

He gave his life for humanity and you gave yours for your family.

This time of year is always difficult for me, even more so- since I visit the Presbyterian church, considering it was your faith when you walked this Earth.
