APD is characterized as a disorder that stems from the individual’s apathetic and numb nature, towards oneself or others around them.

APD can often lead to very dangerous tendancies and other mental illnesses, such as depression, social withdrawal, selfhxrm or suicidxl thoughts, so it shouldn’t be neglected. (x = a)

Beings with this disorder may experience this condition in many ways. Some might experience it through episodes, mood switches, etc.

Similarly to other personality disorders, a person with APD may have an EP, also known as an Empathetic Person. This term is very lose in its meaning, but typically refers to a person who, during episodes, is the sole exception to one's apathetic nature in any way.

Symptoms may include:

-Apathy towards oneself & their well-being (A deep lack of concern to one’s own physical and emotional well-being, often shown by neglect of personal care and health, reckless behaviour, etc.)

-Reoccurring emotional numbness (The individual experiences episodes of numbness that may last from minutes to weeks or months.)

-Lack of ambition and motivation (A significant lack of ambition or motivation to do things that range from simple daily tasks to pursuing goals or achievements in life.)

-Relationship detachment (One might feel the same emotional numbness they feel towards themself towards people in their surrounding despite their closeness.)

-Disregard for social norms (Often engage in behaviors that are socially inappropriate or negligent, or simply a lack of care for what society deems acceptable or not.)

-Immense apathy (An intense inability be empathetic towards people, often being indifferent to the feelings or needs of those around them, or lack care for when misfortune falls on somebody.)

-Minimal reactions to input (Shows little to no reaction to criticism or praise, unaffected by feedback from others.)

-Limited expressions (One may have a limited range of emotional facial or vocal expressions, appearing flat or unresponsive.)

-Social avoidance (Avoiding socializing or having any type of relationship with others, often stemming from a lack of need for intimacy and socialization, or the fear of it.)
