Ok, I encountered something weird with Murch

So I was wandering around the plaza after a match, and I saw someone in a green battlecrab vest. Not a red one, it specifically said it was Lime. Greens, being my favorite colors, I tried to order it. However Murch specifically said "It's way too popular right now." It's not the amiibo or the story mode message. I went to check if it was a message that the exact same clothing was in the store. I go to check, it isn't in shops, it's not on Splatnet, and now I can't find the inkling. Does anyone have an explanation? Because I don't know what that means and none of my friends know what it is either.
