I have said it once and I will say it again: Galacta Knight does not want to die and quite possibly fears the concept of doing so!

I think the erroneous belief that Morpho Knight killed Galacta Knight in response to the pain of living for so long stems from the Super Kirby Clash "Morpho Doomhelm" description, which states that Morpho Knight appeared in response to "the screams of the most powerful warrior in the galaxy", but if we look at an excerpt from a direct translation of the Japanese Star Allies description for it, it expresses a much different idea:

"After many years resonating with pleas for life, brought upon by the white knight dubbed the Galaxy's Strongest Warrior, they become the Knight from Hades, and make their descent."

These were pleas for life, not for death. Seeing he was going to be reaped, Galacta Knight begged Morpho to spare him, and by absorbing him instead, Morpho is allowing him to experience life once more rather than being sealed away.

Galacta Knight doesn't long for slumber, but for freedom.
