Some headcanons about Laxus and LaxusxJuvia (no one asked for):

He had badboy phase during his teens, partly for all the anger he didn't know how to process and in part to look cool,

but deep down he was just a real dork, who liked lame things and was unable to actually express himself and be vulnerable.

His started being interested in girls mainly because girls were interested in him and it was somehow expected of him, but when he was younger he was quite satisfied hanging out with Fried, Evergreen and Bickslow (these four dorky teenagers hanging out have my heart).

He tries to look serious and menacing (succesfully so) but people that know him are aware he is goofy, at traits a bit clumsy.

On this note, he was able to become a good flirt, until he actually cares about the girl. In that case, he has the eloquence of a 12 years old.

He doesn't do well with relationships. The whole being vulnerable thing. But when he finally is in one he becomes a real softie. He needs attention, cuddles, quality time.

Weirdly enough, he is not the jealous type, this because he only surrounds himself with very loyal people (see the Thunder Legion), the same holds true romantically.

But he is very protective. (they are two different things yes).

This is why Juvia's devotion for the people she loves just clicks with him. Especially romantic wise.

He also is one woman kinda guy. Once she is the one, she is the one. This does not mean he will be able to admit his feelings easily.

It's really hard for him to let go and forgive himself. This is why he is curious to get to know Juvia and somehow redeem himself. Because if he can accept her, then maybe he can also be forgiven.

Their powers are very reactive to each other. For both, their magic is part of them, it's deeper than just the use of some spell. It's part of their bodies.

The first time he touches her, they both get shocked. From that moment on, he looks for that same feeling every time he touches another woman, leaving him disappointed and unsatisfied.
