10. he comes to you for... help on tying his tie.

[6:35 p.m.] you’re frantically running around your apartment because you have a handful of chores left but you also need to start getting ready. a friend of yours, hangyul, is throwing a party to celebrate his 20th birthday and he’s doing it at a really fancy restaurant so, you only deemed it appropriate to dress formally, also. he invited you there by 7:30 which meant you needed to leave by 7, which also meant eunsang, your best friend (who you’ve secretly also been harbouring feelings for) should be at your house by 7. “fuck it, I’ll just do everything else when I get home.” you tell yourself and rush to your bedroom to go get ready. you’re surprised because what usually takes you an hour took you 15 minutes today. you cleaned up well for the time that you had. you had just finished applying your lipstick when your doorbell rang. “must be eunsang,” you say, approaching the door. you open it to reveal eunsang, standing there and you scan his appearance. he’s dressed in a long sleeved red dress shirt, and black slacks. his hair is pushed back, and he looks divine. he gives you a smile and waves, “hi. can I come in?” you scold yourself in your head for staring at him for that long and you open the door wider for him to step in.

“you look beautiful, y/n.” he hugs you, arms securing themselves around your waist as you reciprocate the hug by draping your arms around his shoulders. “thank you, you don’t look too bad yourself.” this brought out nothing but a smirk on eunsang’s face and a cocky, “when am I not?” this earned him a small smack on his forearm and you went to grab your purse, and hangyul’s present. “are you ready to leave?” you hear eunsang’s voice call. “yeah, let me just grab my shoes.” once you are absolutely sure you have everything, you head towards the door, and slip on your heels. and just as you turned the doorknob, eunsang’s hand grabbed your wrist. “wait, can you help me with this?” you turn and see a tie, neatly folded in his hand. “where did you have it?” he smiles sheepishly and says, “it was in my back pocket? and I didn’t put it on because I don’t know how, so I figured I would ask you for help.” aw, how cute, you thought in your head and asked him to give you the tie. he steps in front of you and you realize your drastic height difference doesn’t help in the situation you’re in. as you try to reach up, you fail because you can’t even get the tie around eunsang’s neck. with the both of you laughing at your struggle, you have him bend down a little.

you try not to notice eunsang’s gaze running over your features, and you begin to tie his tie. and if anyone were to see the image you two were creating, well, it would look like you’ve been dating for some time. as you finished it off, you softly whispered, “there you go, it’s all done.” you look up from the printed fabric into his eyes and find him already looking at you, his eyes boring into your own with a flash of what you assume is warmth (you say that since it’s quite similar to how you generally look at eunsang). the room is filled with your silence for a bit, until the tension is broken when eunsang whispers, “can I kiss you?” you nod a little too soon, and eunsang leans in and plants a sweet kiss on your lips. your eyes flutter shut and you rest your hands on the back of his neck, pulling him closer. he does the same by engulfing you in his arms and pressing you against his chest. the languid sounds of your kisses fill the room, and bounce off the walls until you both separate, breathing hard. eunsang rests his forehead against your own, smiling and you mirror his expression. “you have lipstick on your lips,” you mumble and run your thumb across eunsang’s stained mouth, wiping away the light traces of red that managed to transfer. “you have no idea how long I’ve wanted to do that, y/n.” you shift your gaze back to eunsang’s earnest face. “me too.” you mutter loud enough for him to hear, and he beams, “I really like you. a lot. be mine?” you smile wide and envelope him in your arms in an embrace, “I really like you a lot, too. I’ll be yours, eunsang.” and from there, you two headed out to hangyul’s party, hand-in-hand and loving smiles for one another on your faces.
