I am writing this now, am I not?

This is absolutely valid. I do whole songs with my cats. It normally goes something like-

“L'amour est un oiseau rebelle Que nul ne peut apprivoiser, Et c'est bien en vain qu'on l'appelle-“

“meow!”

“mew.”

“meow. :)”

I have to stop so I can give them pets and say they’re good boys before I can continue.

I just walked in on Firmin having a fully-fledged conversation with our dear feline friend Gerald about "annoying people in the theater".

I got to delight in hearing the exchange of, "What do you think?", answered by a meow, followed by an enthusiastic, "That's what I'm saying!"

They're both so adorable, I fear I may die.
