Im tired, my feet hurt and my dress shirt clings to my back as i lean forward in the tram seat ive finally found.

The old, muffled speakers emit a distorted voice, and lets us know we'll be taken a different route this time - the explanation for which remains unintelligeble.

The tram diverges.

It goes down a stretch of track i've not rode along for years.

I know these buildings, i know these streets - the shops are different in some places, but i know this feeling.

It's the next stop. I know the turn before we reach it.

I look.

I follow the hill that curves and disapears around the apartment complex's doorways.

Im suddenly and unexpectedly overtaken by the urge to stand up, to take the 4 strides it'd take me to get off the cart and onto the platform.

The tram doors close.

The sound of the analog bell rings in my head as we start to roll once more.

The rail curves, and the tram follows predictably and smoothly.

My eyes are locked.

I crane my neck.
