I have a small theory around Lapis Lazuli.

It started because the more I think about what she does in the show, the more powerful she seems to be.

First, she took the ocean. It is implied it was the entire ocean. That's 70% of our whole planet's surface. A lot. Then she beat the three cristal gems by herself while holding up a gigantic tower of the taken water. All of that with her gem cracked.

Later we see her fusion with Jasper, who is way too big for a two gem fusion.

We've seen two gem fusions before, and the others are either human sized (Garnet) or a "bit too big to be human" sized (Opal, Rainbow Quartz). But Malachite has the the same size as Alexandrite, who is a four gem fusion.

My theory is that, just like Jasper, Lapis Lazuli is a "perfect" gem. Her exit hole would be deep and straight.

This would be why she is so powerful, why she asks yelling if they "ever wondered who she used to be" - maybe she was in a high social position due to her "high quality" - why her fusion with Jasper, another "perfect" gem is so powerful and big, and also perhaps why Jasper wanted to be with her, because she was "perfect" like her.

Just my thoughts.

I used to be the cool teenager explaining deep cartoon plots. Now I'm the weird adult making jokes no one laughs at and asking if they've seen the lates story driven cartoon (they haven't).

I think Peridot would love Rimworld. A resource management game about running a colony on an alien planet? With so much depth and things to keep in mind? Our genius dorito would be making excel tables for the resources and shipping charts of her colonists.
