I like dad inuyasha and mom kagome. I do imagine, though, those early years would be Hella rough. They’re both exhausted from working all day - him from traveling more to get more demon slaying done and rushing home to be there at night to protect her and their newborn, and her carrying their daughter around as she tends to her duties as a priestess. Though she can get a break at night if the baby is just fussing from a dream or needs changing because he’s up practically before the first wimper, he can never sleep when she has to get up to feed or tend to the baby. Even if he wanted to just the sound is amplified to his sensitive senses, and it throws his anxieties into overdrive which, understandably, puts stress on their relationship with his usually cranky demeanor rising. In the end he ends up convinced to stay closer to the village and start doing more odd jobs around the place for extra food or money. Doesn’t earn as much as killing a terrorizing demon but their sanity does much better for it with his having the downtime during the day to catch up on sleep that she has when he’s up most of the night with the baby when she doesn’t need to be fed.
