But he keeps two armchairs at his room, like he was waiting for a nice talk. About music, cooking a good gumbo or about old times. This part of his room makes me feel he feels more alone than we think.

I honestly feel like he really does feel alone most of the time but because of his reputation, he ignores it and puts on the facade that everything is fine, but in his room is when he feels most alone, but he doesn't know how to explain it to anyone. Maybe he thinks that loneliness is a characteristic of the weak. He does not allow himself to show vulnerability, just as he equips himself with a smile as a tool.

Sure he likes to be alone sometimes. But... he's a showman after all, he needs public and... friends, I guess.

He also more likely since he died hasn't had real friends like the ones at the hotel. Outside of Rosie and Niffty, I feel he hasn't really had anyone he could depend on. It feels like those two are the only ones who seem to genuinely care and partake in being active members of his afterlife(?) now. Mimzy could count but she has too many hang-ups.

This isn’t trying to excuse like, the obvious things he’s done, but it’s more so just a look at a side of him most folks don’t see.
