The Embassy of the Republic of Korea in the State of Israel is excited to announce that the annual K-pop World Festival: Israel Preliminary competition will be taking place on Monday, July 15th, 2024! The competition will be part of the annual Korea Festival and will be held at Smolarz Auditorium, Tel Aviv
University.

This is your chance to compete to represent Israel at the
2024 K-pop World Festival taking place in Changwon,
Korea.

2024 K-pop World Festival: Israel Preliminary
The K-pop World Festival is a yearly competition and consists of four rounds:
1. Online Auditions
The audition round is being held online. You can apply to either DANCE or VOCAL
category, as a group or an individual, by submitting your K-pop dance or vocal cover
video online. The selected groups will secure a spot in the Israel Regional Preliminary.
See below for further information on how to apply.
2. Regional Preliminaries
The Israel Regional Preliminary will be held on Monday, July 15th at the Smolarz
Auditorium at Tel Aviv University. The winners will get a chance to send their videos to
the Semi-finals to advance to the Final Event.
3. Semi-finals
The Semi-finals are an online competition. Korean Broadcasting System (KBS) will
upload the videos of the winners to their official website. Two to three groups from each
country will participate in this round (3 teams from each embassy, around 100
embassies worldwide). The judges will first select 16~24 groups, and then narrow them
down to final 8 teams who will compete in the Finals.
4. Finals
For the Finals, the selected teams are invited to South Korea around September
October. Their trip will include sightseeing and various activities, and finally performing
at the K-pop World Festival in Changwon.
How to Apply
1. Upload your K-pop Dance or Vocal cover video on YouTube.
2. Fill out and submit your complete Application Form by sending an email to
koreakpopfestival@gmail.com.
3. The submission deadline is Sunday, March 31, 2024 at 23:59.
Judging Criteria
Please note that as guidelines from KBS will update, judging criteria are subject to
change.
1. Vocal
60% vocal skills
20% pronunciation (clarity and accuracy of the lyrics)
20% stage presence, power and impact of performance
2. Dance
40% choreography (composition, unity and resemblance to the original dance)
30% techniques

the korean embassy in isnotreal is organizing kpop world festival there and is basically a competition people can participate with the support of kbs so yeah... this is quite bad
