❝ ✿ GingerBrave x Strawberry Cookie Relationship Headcanons ✿ ❞

I made these back in February and they originally weren't intended to be posted but I just felt like getting this online for some reason, so here you go :)

- If Strawberry Cookie can't sleep for whatever reason, GingerBrave will try singing her favorite songs to hopefully lull her to rest. Some of the songs that she likes are foreign, so GingerBrave has a bit of a hard time getting the pronunciation entirely right (it sometimes makes Strawberry giggle!). He has a very gentle and loving tone though, and that's for sure, no matter how many pronunciations he needs to learn. Because of his soft, late-night singing voice, Strawberry's usually out like a light since it's just so relaxing to listen to.

- Sometimes, if it's been a really tough day for either Strawberry Cookie or GingerBrave, they'll definitely comfort their down partner as much as possible. Strawberry likes to snuggle up on GingerBrave's chest in her favorite hoodie, have him gently brush his hand across the top of her head, and listen to his heartbeat because it's extremely comforting to her. GingerBrave LOVES to play a couple rounds of his favorite video games with Strawberry since she knows he's feeling upset and that'd for sure get him out of his sad mood, and if he's not feeling like doing that, he most likely would love to explore more of Earthbread with the love of his life.

- Their dates are almost always something fun and surprising — unless it's another stay-in date because it decided to rain buckets in the kingdom. But even then, the couple will always manage to make things fun, no matter what obstruction is given. GingerBrave enjoys building mini blanket fort kingdoms, making silly cardboard box armor, eating delivery pizza jellies, pillow fights (softly, of course, since GingerBrave is always gentler with Strawberry), or doing impressions of each other's favorite characters. Strawberry Cookie likes playing competitive party video games, making snacks, binge-watching a movie series, or playing board games.

- GingerBrave is extremely scared of thunderstorms (despite being brave, he sometimes starts sniffling lightly out of fear but never cries), and so is Strawberry, but what makes them feel calm and safe is that they have each other. Expect cuddles underneath a fuzzy, warm blanket and softly whispered sweet nothings as they both try not to crazily freak out about the storm outside. Usually Strawberry will fall asleep while cuddled up closely to her boyfriend, unfortunately leaving him to be the only one awake and quietly startled by every thunderclap that happens. He promises to guard her at all times, though, regardless of how he feels or the situation he's in.

- GingerBrave will hold Strawberry Cookie's hand if she gets too nervous when in public or if a threat is imminent. He brings her behind him, sometimes even carries her on his back in a way of defending her. Brave'd be absolutely heartbroken if something happened to his girlfriend, so he protects her with his entire life because he loves her so much. Strawberry Cookie expresses often that she appreciates how GingerBrave has comforted her in her moments of fear and how he’s kept her safe all this time.

- If Ginger's near doing something that severely risks his life or says something a little stupid, Strawberry will take out her lollipop from behind her and bonk GingerBrave on the head lightly with an annoyed face, as she's not having him do anything dumb on her watch. Yeah, he's handsome, brave, smart, and a hero, sure, but even smart people can do stupid things. Poor GingerBrave has gotten multiple headaches from Strawberry correcting him.

- Strawberry's given kisses are usually really short and to the cheek, and GingerBrave also likes giving short kisses — although his preference is to kiss her on the lips or her forehead. (He's a little bit taller than he was when he was younger, and Strawberry Cookie kinda has to stand on her "toes" to kiss him.)

- 🍪: "I am so marrying you when I'm older, 'Berry!"

GingerBrave often expresses how he desperately wants to marry Strawberry Cookie and try to give her the best wedding he possibly can. She usually gets super blushy and flustered over this, but still happily agrees and even pecks a small kiss on his lips signaling that she does want to marry him too.

- One thing GingerBrave just can't get over about Strawberry are her beautiful chocolate brown eyes, long light-red hair usually hidden under her hood, and adorably shy personality. He often finds himself thinking about her practically all the time, and the thought of her is always enough to bring a red hue to his tawny-colored face.

- Before she'd even met GingerBrave as kids, Strawberry Cookie felt weak and vulnerable, no matter how strong she might've been then. Now, with his presence, she feels like she can be open, free, and loved. He was the only cookie she could trust with her secret of not being made with real strawberries, and the fact that he didn't judge her, rather he said he thought it made her super cool, and that just made Strawberry Cookie even more head over heels for him. No cookie had treated her that way except GingerBrave, since whenever she told another cookie about her secret, they’d bully her or even share it to other people to laugh at.

- 🍪: "P-Pure Vanilla... your voice is... r-r-really pretty, Strawbs..."

When at karaoke night with the team, Strawberry usually chooses pop love songs and sings them with the intention of dedicating it to GingerBrave. It makes him really flustered and sometimes even to the point he covers his face with his hands to hide his jam-red blush. It causes Wizard Cookie to giggle a bit as it's funny to see someone who believes they're all brave and unbothered get all nervous because their girlfriend just sang a love song to them. Custard Cookie III and Chili Pepper just outright tease GingerBrave for panicking.

- 🍓: "HOLLYBERRY DARN IT! AGH! YOU KNOW WHAT?! WHATEVER! I'M DONE!"

It always takes GingerBrave by surprise to see Strawberry Cookie angrily fuss and yell if she loses on a video game, because usually she never gets to that level of frustration when it's not about video games. But it's rather hypocritical of GingerBrave to react that way, as his anger towards video games is much worse than whatever Strawberry can belt out, since he's naturally just a loud cookie.

- When on their own, they have their personal strengths and are good alone, but when they're together, they're a "kick-your-ass" power couple you should probably fear. They've spent time as young friends coming up with attacks meant for just him and her, but now, as a newfound couple, they've put all that development to work and partner together as a coordinated duo team.

- If GingerBrave happens to feel a little extra romantic that day, he'll pick Strawberry Cookie up bridal style with a mischievous smirk on his face, kiss her on her neck, then trail little pecks up and kiss her on her lips, and then return her to where she was like nothing even happened, leaving a giggling GingerBrave and a blushing mess Strawberry.

- GingerBrave gave Strawberry Cookie some of his spare skull buttons and she now wears them on the hood of her hoodie since it's a reminder that someone loves her deeply enough to gift her something of theirs. Every time GingerBrave sees her in them, he blushes a bit and says she looks super cute in his stuff.

- They are never separated unless entirely necessary. Strawberry Cookie even actually lives in the same cookie house with GingerBrave.

- There are times where Strawberry Cookie just doesn't have enough money to afford the things she wants — which gets her really upset and sad to the point she'll just snuggle up in a blanket and sleep all day. GingerBrave likes to surprise her with gift cards and the DLC or the new game she was hoping to get, since he's a bit more financially secure than her. It always makes her happy, maybe even to the point of joyous tears, and there's always a red blush spread across her face once she sees the little gifts in his hands. He may not exactly be a Legendary cookie, or the most powerful being on Earthbread, but he's definitely dedicated to giving his girlfriend the best he can and that's what matters.

- Strawberry Cookie's cuteness has made GingerBrave get so flustered to the point his hair frosting had began to melt. She notices this every time, and even offers to try helping him fix his hair with possible spare frosting from a Witch's house, since seeing your boyfriend with dripping hair frosting all over his face was definitely a weird sight to see.

- When GingerBrave met Strawberry Cookie when they were little, he didn't know what exactly it was about her or the things he were feeling, but he would always get butterflies if she did even the simplest things (like maybe a cute little high-pitched sneeze or full focus on a game she was playing) and would oftentimes spend a lot of hours just daydreaming about her. GingerBrave only realized he was in love with Strawberry when he turned 14 and grew to recognize his feelings better.

🍓: "N-no, Ginger! They're not a threat, I promise!"

🍪: "Princess... Strawbs, how can I actually believe that? Nobody's gonna hurt my love on my watch! Nuh-uh!"

- The one thing to fear with GingerBrave is if you tell him about a cookie messing with you or something, he might fight them to near crumbling when you're not around, so Strawberry has to worry every time she tells GingerBrave about her day in the kingdom. Yes, he's that quick to practically kill another cookie if they hurt someone he's deeply in love with.

- Strawberry Cookie has expressed in the past that she'd wanted to be a princess. She isn't, unfortunately, but GingerBrave loves to make her feel like one by calling her "princess" or treating her like pure royalty through showering Strawberry with gifts and love.
