Could you explain your au a little, I'm kind of new here and I want to know the main plot, if you're okay with that of course ^^!!

Of course!

The Amazing Digital Guardians is an AU that takes place in the late 70s/early 80s. The basic premise is the same as the canon TADC—some unsuspecting humans in the real world put on some headsets and now they’re trapped in a digital realm.

Caine and Abel created the universe of the game, but they kind of had some rivalry. Now Caine rules over the main parts of the game(circus tent, digital lake, fairgrounds, etc), while Abel rules over a city called “Midnight City”. Abel has gathered various NPCs here to live away from Caine (so they don’t get destroyed), and so he can rule over them. Princess Loo and Gumigoo are trying to rally up their own army of NPCs, and with Abel’s help, they want to overthrow Caine and take over the entire digital world.

Caine has appointed two circus members (currently Jax and Ragatha) as his Guardians to protect him from various viruses and monsters that inhabit the circus. They will eventually have to protect him from characters like Gummigoo and Abel when they try to attack him. These Guardians yield weapons to protect the innocent.

So far, my basic idea is that the game is either under some sort of possession or curse, which explains the biblical themes and the monsters in the game. The story is just about their adventures, the various monsters that Jax and Ragatha encounter, protecting Caine, discovering Midnight City, etc.

So far, here is everyone’s roles:

Caine: Ringmaster. Controls his designated circus areas. Makes the cast go on adventures.

Jax and Ragatha: Caine’s Guardians, protect him from monsters, viruses, rogue NPCs, etc.

Pomni, Gangle, Zooble: Regular Circus members, who are forced to go on adventures so they don’t go insane. Pomni also MAY become a Guardian or posses Guardian-like abilities.

Kinger: Used to be a Guardian, but was taken away by Abel (exploited because of his weaknesses by Abel, basically), after Queenie died. Abel promised that he would “get Queenie back” if Kinger helped him run Midnight City.

Princess Loo and Gummigoo: Are trying to form an NPC army with Abel’s help.

This is all I have right now. It’s kinda all over the place.

Something…happened to him while in the circus. He doesn’t like to talk about it…but maybe Caine knows something….

Probably not, only because Bubble is absolutely insane when he’s drunk. Like, he’s super reckless, talkative, loud, annoying, and trying to bite on stuff and get into everybody’s business. The only person that can handle him is Caine…

Jax definitely pranks Ragatha and Pomni the most, and I would say that he gets into more bully territory when it comes to Gangle. But everyone gets on his case when he’s too mean to Gangle, so sometimes he backs off. But then he’ll probably start all over again the next day…

This question has got me thinking about my art as a whole.

When I designed Jax for my AU, I really had no intention to make him attractive. When I design characters I just do what feels…right, I guess? I’m not sure. I don’t see what you’re seeing, but that could be because I’m looking at my own art and not an outsider’s lens. I don’t know what makes him attractive. Is it the colors? The face? The outfit? I have no idea. I just draw him the way I want and the fact that people find him handsome is a nice bonus, especially because there are so many other creative and interesting AUs by artists who are more seasoned than I am. But It’s nice to know that people enjoy my art and enjoy his character! Hm…

Sorry that I’m getting way too thoughtful about this. There will be plenty more Guardian Jax in the future!

As for ships, I REALLY like Jax x Ragatha but I also like Ragatha x Pomni (I think it’s funny when they’re awkward around each other), Pomni x Zooble, Gangle x Zooble, and Caine x Kinger. (Edit: forgot to add that I also like Kinger x Queenie and Pomni x Gummigoo!)

Pomni x Caine is alright, I don’t really ship it that much but sometimes I see really cute fanart for it! Caine’s more of a father figure to her in this AU, not a romantic interest. I’m pretty chill when it comes to ships and I don’t judge based on what other people like.

Congrats, Jax considers you a serious threat! This is very hard to accomplish. He has now started conspiring with other Jaxes from different AUs to figure out how to stop you!

since Kinger is in the midnight city why can’t Caine just teleport him back where everyone else is or are Caine powers Limited?

This is where Abel comes in (I haven’t made his character card yet). I don’t have the whole story planned out yet, but Abel is the ruler of Midnight City (He and Caine made an agreement in the past) and technically has authority over Kinger. Caine and Abel sort of share the Digital world, so Caine can’t control Kinger anymore. Caine’s powers are limited. I will eventually create a sort of map that explains who has control over what area.

Out of curiosity, what’s Jax like when he’s drunk (if he even gets drunk)

Yup, Jax has gotten drunk a number of times, but he actually makes sure not to overdo it, believe it or not. I would say that he’s a "happy drunk"—he gets very cheerful and confident and nothing can really bring down his mood when he’s buzzed. His relaxed personality is multiplied by 100 and he also gets a lot more flirty, touchy and affectionate with others (like hugging and nuzzling).

But, on the flip side, he can also be very reckless, so when he’s super drunk Ragatha always tries to get him to go to sleep so he doesn’t do anything dangerous.
