Old screenshots of an AU concept I was working on. I don't remember the specifics?? But it's like one of those AUs where Ed ends up in a different universe as a toll from Truth. But in this AU it's Ed going into a modern setting, it's got all the stuff from the modern AU I was working on (I'm altering the stuff I got for that so that'll be fun.), with no concept of anything and having the knowledge of "his world". Kinda like COS/FMA 2003 but I can't say for certain bc I need to rewatch 2003 and watch COS.

EDIT (just before I post): I ALMOST FORGOT; I remember that I said it's FMA Ed going into said modern AU so he'll know certain characters (e.g. Al, Winry, Roy, Riza, etc.) But in the modern AU that he ends up in there's now the addition of characters he never met (e.g. Ling, Lanfan, etc.). There's also no homunculi, this au is kinda chill? It's just Ed trying to, at the very minimum, gain a sort of contact with the Al of "his world" and to gain knowledge of this "new world" he's in. (Approaching it from a scientific standpoint and all that bc there's things that are completely advanced for his time period, which is the early 1900's and so he wouldn't know what a cellular mobile phone is and that's funny to me.)

Uhhh Ed's age hasn't been thought of but he's probably 14-15. Maybe?? I'll tell y'all when I make more mental notes.

Well, yeah! FMA takes place in the early 1900's, and there were plenty of films by then; You just needed to go to the theatre for them, as there were no TVs yet. From what I remember, I heard it was said that Ed was born in 1899; Movies became more sought after around the 1910's I'm pretty sure (Correct me if I'm wrong, movie history is not my relm of expertise.), and therefore more avaliable to public spaces. This allowing more common folk to watch films.

There's this one moon movie that's from the early 1900's, 1902 I believe, that is popular!

I forget the name, it's personally not one of my favorite films. There's this one stop motion animation film I like from 1933 called The Mascot. But this is just me rambling. Back to the topic at hand.

Ed and Al at this point are probably 13-14 maybe, I need to refresh myself with the manga at some point; So it's around 1912-1913 or something. So yeah, completely plausible they watched a movie!

I've seen it say they watched movies as kids (when Trisha was alive pretty sure.) But thats where it makes no sense. They grew up in the country side, so there was most likely no theatre there to watch movies. And even then that's before the 1910's where films became more publicly available. It makes more sense in the screenshot you provided given they are in the Central city at that point (or in one of the *cities* where theare is more likely available) and its around the 1910's.

Idk, I could be completely wrong, but this is just what I think.
