Camping Trips...

Requested by Anon ^^ You and Nick are on a classic camping trip. Sorry, but I just didn’t feel like writing any smut today :( Either way, I hope you enjoy ^^

“Lighting a fire I see?” Nick laughed. 

“Go set up the tent loser.” I replied. Grinning in response, he walked over to the tent in progress and began fixing the wires and cloth that were sticking out.

Nick and I were at our 3rd annual camping trip. Ever since we started dating, he decided to make it a tradition that we would go and camp every year. 

“Done!” he shouted.

Taking a break from poking at the fire, I walked over to the tent that Nick had pitched and boy was he handy. 

“How’s that fire going miss?” he teased.

“It’s almost done for your information Mr. Know It All.” 

Using a stick to temper the flames from the crackling wood, it was beginning to get dark. I pulled out some sandwiches I had made earlier and handed him one. We sat cuddled next to the fire, taking bites of our meal and enjoying the sound of the woods at night.

After eating, we were on our backs staring at the moon and the stars that illuminated the night sky. I felt the fire crackle behind us as our fingers entwined with one another.

“Y/N?”  Nick whispered softly. 

“Yes?” 

“I love you,” he stated simply.

Turning my body towards him, I stared into his deep brown eyes and smiled. Bringing my face closer to his, I pressed a kiss to the top of his nose. He pulled my face in closer and-

A sound of rustling in the trees interrupted us from going any further. It was met by a loud groan and some wind. We rushed into the tent right after putting the fire out and kicking dirt over our leftover food. 

Crawling into the tent, I could help but shake at the fear of what was outside. Nick held me tightly against his chest with his hand bracing the back of my head. 

After a couple of minutes, the sound was gone. Sighing in relief, I collapsed onto the sleeping bags and closed my eyes. Then Nick began to tickle the ever-living breath out of me. 

“Stop!” I squealed. “Please!”

“Say you love me!” he laughed.

“Never!” I choked out. 

Peppering kisses along my neck, I broke down.

“Okay! Okay! I love you! I love you Nick Robinson!” I surrendered. 

“And I love you Y/N Y/L/N.” Finally, a pair of warm lips greeted mine. I ran my hands through his soft hair and he smiled into the embrace, biting my lower lip lightly in a teasing manner. 

“I think this is the best camping trip yet,” he bragged.

“Don’t get too ahead of yourself there Robinson,” I smirked. “I’m planning next year’s trip, remember?” 

Smiling, we fell asleep huddled next to each other in our sleeping bags. With his hand in mine and my back to his chest, life wasn’t going to get any better than this.
