Human society fascinates me & awes me & fills me with grief & joy; I just can't find my place to plug into it." -Connie Converse 1974.

Movie posters I made for an on-going project... the original art for this is a panel from the flowers of evil manga by Shuzo Oshimi

Im making a movie os sort: kinda a documentary... about the early web and lonely teenagers... I want to make a Gummo o sort, but focusing on the weird and grose side of the early 00s in a boring small town... this is my idea for a poster.

I *already posted this before, but those are some *conceptual art I done to kinda represent the overall esthetic of the movie.

It is almost grose... everything here goes just like some horror movie... inded, just the fact that we are here... in this worldwide net of information is already horrific. The gore videos and the porn on display on some blurred old monitors, lost in the shining lights of small suburban life in decay. The dogs barking far away, and the rust rusting. The urban rotting of a city lost in dreams. And a generation without future -- or past*

how sad, how lovely, how short, how sweet

bindweed and fennel monotype print, colour pencil, oil pastel, soft pastel

This image is basically everything I like. I tried to compile all the favorite bands and styles. Of course, a lot was left out. for example, my favorite films and several bands that certainly deserved space on the poster. bands like C.W.Stoneking (my favorite musician), Joe Meek, The Residents, Psychic TV and the Cleaners From Venus (Martin Newell), Tom Waits... of films, I could have written Valerie and her week of wonders. Muholland Drive. Paris, Texas. American Graffiti or Moonrise Kingdom. Anyway, even though a lot of things were left out, a lot of my aesthetic is still here. Consider this image, kind of my version of that Meet The artist challenge. - I personally love Sarah Records, Goosebumps, the 60s, 70s and 80s (I literaly live in the past, baby. All my clothes, music and everything comes directly from the past!) outsider music, Twin Peaks and many others. Anyway, it took some work for me to put together this image, but I hope someone in this wild wild world gives some value to it. Ha ha.

*This one is based on some pinterest draws from summer camp island, i dont remeber the original artists...

What's the latest, Magg? just some drawings from my OC; Maggie Marsh. My idea is to do some comic strips about everyday life in the quiet suburbs of a county in Maine called Sunbean County in the 60s. Maggie is kind of the protagonist and currently the character I draw the most. she's a fan of space exploration due to the whole space race and everything. She doesn't have many friends and spends most of her day wandering the melancholic streets of his city of around 10,000 inhabitants, in the middle of nowhere. Now 12 years old, her old friends have become distant and her parents have divorced, leaving her mainly under the guardianship of her father, a street vendor who only comes home late at night. - the fun of this idea of mine is that normally in cartoons or comics the characters always find what they are looking for. for example, in an episode something always happens directly related to the theme of the episode and everything else. however, in my idea, the fun would be that due to the monotony of Sunbean County, NOTHING ever happens. that is; no fantastic events, no great adventures, no incredible events... just the most peaceful and boring day to day life of an small town. a kind of comic strip about the suburban bucolicism of the mid-60s. Interesting? I dont know...
