Y/n’s eyes were closed and soft snores escaping her pink, parted lips. The blanket was wrapping her up, making her body look extremely tiny. Joel chuckled at the sight of his girlfriend, finding her gorgeous even in this way. 

He placed the tray of breakfast on the bed side table and sat beside her. He leaned down and placed kisses on her shoulder, neck, face and eventually made his way to her lips. Y/n had begun squirming a little, waking up a slight bit more with each touch. 

He finally pressed a kiss to his girlfriend’s lips, only for her to reciprocate, “Baby, I thought you were asleep…” he smirked.

“Well, I’m not.” He chuckled at her sassiness, early on in the day that he had carefully planned. He leaned in for another kiss, this one more passionate but just as innocent. “Feliz cumpleaños, mi reina, mi vida, mi corazon,” he went on with the nicknames, kissing her after saying each one, leaving her giggling just like his Ecuadorian bandmate.

Something about this morning felt perfect to the pair. Whether it was the calm or the mood, they had no idea. They just knew that this was the definition of ‘perfect’… at least in their dictionaries.

Soon they began eating, and mixed in with bites of the food were compliments. Joel blushed seeing how happy she was.

Leaning over, y/n pressed a kiss to his lips. He gladly reciprocated, pulling away only when their lungs could take no more.

He pushed her into the bathroom to have a shower as he went to the kitchen to do the dishes. “Take as long as you want, baby” he whispered as his lips lightly grazed her ears, sending tingles down her whole body.

She did just that. Take as long as she wanted. When she came out and went into their joint wardrobe, he came and stood against the doorframe of the walk-in and watched her out of admiration.

She put on a casual outfit and he complimented, “gorgeous”. He thought about every line and curve, every quirk and habit, every little detail of her that truly made her “y/n”.

He couldn’t wait to be able to spend the rest of their lives together. Her going from stealing her heart to his hoodies to his last name, assuming she says yes tonight.
