Song #55

Run the World!!! by Dayglow

It was released on September 28, 2018

Fun Fact: Dayglow, has used his time in quarantine to create a video for the feel-good single "Run The World!!!". Now speaking about the hilarious music video Dayglow explained: "Quarantine sucks; I want to run the whole freaking world. To broadcast my global message, I assembled a dream team— my mom, a childhood neighbour and lifelong friend, and a ramp I got from Walmart when I was 11 that still sits in our driveway to this day. With the help of a plethora of royalty free green-screen effects and a powerful political proposition, magic was made. I am so bored."

Song #57

Rät by Penelope Scott

It was released on August 29, 2020

Fun Fact: It's described as “a breakup letter to the tech cult that is Silicon Valley,” this song was originally called “Elongated Muskrat” as a reference to Elon Musk. Scott describes how, like many other Gen Z kids, she looked up to scientists and Silicon Valley, and looked down on religion. She explores the idea of conflicting views on modern wealth, of hating the rich, yet idolizing them at the same time.

Song #53

Who Are You, Really? by Mikky Ekko

It was released on June 20, 2010.

Fun Fact: The song questions the protagonist's identity and intentions, asking "Who are you really?" and "Where are you going?" The lyrics suggest that the protagonist may feel entitled to control and make decisions, but they are reminded that they are a stranger in this world. They express that they have nothing left to prove or lose, and bare their teeth as a show of strength. The song also references others who run from the fire, implying that the protagonist may be on the run or moving on from a previous relationship.

Hey, sorry but unfortunately we don’t take requests because we are choosing songs off of our ever growing playlists. But I have that song on there and a couple other songs by them so they’ll probably pop up eventually.
