Song #165
I Hear A Symphony by Cody Fry
It was released on October 6, 2017
Fun Fact: "To say I was surprised would be a pretty epic understatement. It was like being struck by lightning. It felt so insane and random. I had just released an album a month or so earlier and then suddenly people on the internet were just like, “Cool new album but hold that thought, what about this song from 3 years ago?” It’s sort of the last thing you expect when you’re promoting a new album. I didn’t even have a TikTok account when this all happened, so it truly shocked me in the most incredible way. And I love seeing how people have incorporated “I Hear a Symphony” into their lives… it’s incredible."

Song #171
Baker by Aimee Carty
It was released on July 19, 2024
Fun Fact: Aimee Carty's song "Baker" is a poignant exploration of the journey from childhood innocence to the complexities of adulthood. The song begins with the narrator reminiscing about being a baker, a painter, a runner, and a dancer, each time receiving praise and feeling a sense of accomplishment. However, as she grows older, she encounters the harsh reality that not all efforts are met with approval, and not all talents are universally recognized. This shift from self-assuredness to self-doubt is a central theme in the song, reflecting the universal experience of growing up and facing criticism.

Song #168
Runnin’ Down A Dream by Tom Petty
It was released in 1989 in his album Full Moon Fever
Fun fact: The music video, featured animation, based on several episodes of the classic comic strip Little Nemo in Slumberland by Winsor McCay, featuring a drawing style reminiscent of McCay's and showing Petty and a character who resembles Flip travelling through Slumberland. The 1933 film King Kong is also briefly referenced when Petty, atop the Chrysler Building, attempts to swat at attacking oversized mosquitoes, much like Kong swatting at the biplanes in the film.
