In which (Y/n) wonders why so many of her clothes, ranging from sweaters to scarves, have gone missing in recent weeks, prompting her to search all over campus.

She eventually does manage to find her missing clothes in a certain lazy lion’s den. Who knew Leona could be so stealthy?

“Ruggie? Have you seen my clothes? I’ve been looking for them all day—”

The hyena looked up when you appeared in the doorway to the laundry room of Savanaclaw, your panicked voice filling his sensitive ears. Wincing slightly, Ruggie’s gaze returned to the laundry basket on the ground that was filled to the brim with clothes that needed to be washed and dried.

Bending down when something unusually colourful passed his eyes, he grabbed the brightly pink-coloured sweater by its sleeve and pulled it up for you to see. “Do you mean…” he asked, dangling it around in the air, “something like this?”

“Yes! Yes!” you yelled out in relief as you snatched your beloved sweater right out of his hands. From the sheer relief that ran through your veins, you almost forgot to ask what your sweater was doing in Savanclaw’s laundry. Halting in your tracks, you raised your narrowed eyes to look at Ruggie, as if interrogating him. “But wait, what was my sweater doing here?”

“I’m not sure… all I know is that a pink sweater in Leona’s laundry basket seemed quite suspicious,” Ruggie admitted, his tail guiltily tugged inbetween his legs. “But, he quickly shut me up with a good sandwich— so, I never questioned him when more and more girlish clothing piled up.”

You let out a sigh before slapping yourself. “Ruggie!” you cried out in disappointment. “You should have told me!”

Laughing along nervously, he shot you a sheepish smile — one that was met by an angry scowl. “…you never asked?” was his attempt at an excuse, but he was quickly silenced when the intensity of your glare became even worse. Throwing his hands into the air, an exasperated cry escaped his lips. “Fine, I’m sorry! That sandwich was too good.”

Curiouser and Curiouser...

It’s tricky to find a carnival ride that suits Azul! Spinning rides will have to be ruled out, since he gets motion sick, and roller coasters are definitely a no-go (he worries about his glasses flying off during the plummet down). You’re still free to go on them yourself, of course--Azul will be waiting for you right as you hop off, with a comforting arm to sling around your shoulder and soothe your spinning head.

Knowing how easily he gains weight, he refuses to touch anything battered and deep fried. If there happens to be a stand selling fruit, that’s what Azul will go for. Even if you offer little bites of your sugar dusted funnel cakes, he insists that you keep it for yourself.

Azul’s not great when it comes to carnival games that require strength or precision, but he excels in those that demand strategizing or wits. Guessing how many jellybeans is in the jar is child’s play for him--all he needs to do is the estimate the average size of a jellybean, get the dimensions of the container, calculate the volume of the jar...

He somehow also manages to haggle with the people running the gaming booths to lower their asking prices, or to allow him to exchange the small pity prizes he won for better prizes. 

You manage to find something that Azul can comfortably ride: the Tunnel of Love. As you slowly drift into the darkening cavern, he cups your face in his hands and smirks, informing you that he has changed his mind about the funnel cake from earlier. Ah, but since you’ve eaten all of it up, he’ll have to sample the leftovers from your lips. And there, in the darkness of the Tunnel of Love, you share a kiss. 

Jade indulges you for the day, following you onto any ride you desire. He manages to keep his cool even on the rides that provide a thrill--and he has a chuckle listening to you scream, and seeing the flush of adrenaline on your cheeks.

He’s disappointed to see that carnivals do not offer raw seafood, nor mushroom dishes, on their menus, but he settles for a corn dog (for no particular reason other than he was curious about the name). While Jade munches on the peculiar item and tries to pick apart the elements of a corn dog, you can’t help but giggle at his serious intent.

Jade is well-rounded at carnival games--though he looks so unassuming, the stall runners typically underestimate his abilities. Before they realize it, he has racked up enough victories to clear out an entire stall’s worth of prizes. With a polite smile (and his shadow looming over them), he requests that they fork over everything they own.

For your final ride, you settle on the merry-go-round... but uh oh, the horse you want to get on is a little too high up for you to climb onto! (After watching you struggle for a bit,) Jade easily whisks you up in a princess lift and onto the horse, squeezing on after you. You spin around and around, his chest pressed up against your back to keep you steady--though your heart and your mind are racing.

He helps you disembark when the ride concludes, too! As you step off of your noble steed, Jade mockingly bows to you and takes your hand in his, planting a tender kiss on the back of it.

Rook’s nickname for Floyd, Monsieur Kills for Thrills, is an apt one. Floyd wants to go on all the roller coasters, and any other ride that’ll get his blood pumping! He might be in the mood for some slower paced rides, too--but only if you catch him at the right time. Otherwise, he’ll just whine about being bored while you’re in the spinning tea cups!

He opts to get a bag of candy for himself to eat throughout the day. The candies come in various flavors and textures, so Floyd always has something to chew or suck on without getting bored. He enjoys sharing his candies with you, volunteering to pop them into your mouth or from his lips to yours.

Floyd’s a genius at winning carnival games. As a member of Basketball Club, he excels at shooting hoops and rings, and his natural gifts as an eel merman allows him to easily pass tests of strength. If anything, Floyd’s a little too good at winning games.

He really gets into the spirit of playing, sometimes to the point of scaring the stall runners. For example, when Floyd was playing whack-a-mole, he whacked those moles so hard that he broke the machine! The employee would have been angry with him, but that giddy smile and laughter of his just freaked them out. (They threw a massive plushie at you and begged you to take Floyd away.)

You pass by a clown passing out balloons--one per person. Floys grabs a grey one, and you grab one of your favorite color. He passes one look at your balloon, then pouts and demands a trade, which you oblige. As soon as the exchange is made, he bursts out into a wide smile and tells you that he’s given you his “heart”--and he has yours, too!
