The amount of abuse that goes on in dance, gymnastics, figure skating and similar sports is insane. I will always believe the victims over someone in a position of power

Personally I don't care if we don't have the full story, I will always side with the victims until proven wrong when there's any suspicision of toxicity and emotional abuse occurring between a grown adult in a position of power and children who want their approval. I applaud Dyllan and other p21 dancers who are not afraid to share their experience despite being at risk of receiving backlash for it. Dance teachers and choreographers already have their voice heard more than enough, the dancers deserve to have a voice as well. And it's always good for young dancers to see older dancers speaking up about toxic and abusive environments!

ik we have a lot of debates abt p21 on here but whatever “side” you’re on i hope everyone here knows that no child should ever feel this way. coming from someone who has gone through losing a love for a sport they did their entire life because of an enviorment i always sympathized with dyllan the moment she left p21.
