A/n: Okay I am so nervous but excited for this fic. Yes I am a fanfic writer and yes I am Army...  I purple you lol. But this is my first BTS fic I am posting on here so please I beg go easy on me lol. And please let me know what you think.

Walking up to the building with Xavier, Y/n took in all her surroundings. To say she was nervous was an understatement. Y/n was so nervous she was shaking. Stopping though Y/n took a few deep breaths knowing she would overwhelm herself otherwise, and she did not want to do that. Upon entering the building Y/n and Xavier were greeted by a woman that seemed to be in her early fifties.“ Hello, welcome to Loveable Hybrids! I’m Leah.”

“Hello Leah. I’m Xavier Johnson and this is Y/n L/n.” Xavier introduced the two of them with a smile. While he was taking the time to introduce us, Y/n mind had wondered as she looked at the environment around her. It was very bright with pictures of hybrids and people, also colorings were littered around the walls.  

“Nice to meet both of you! How may I help you?” Leah beamed at them.

“Y/n here is looking to adopt a possible hybrid. We heard this is an extraordinary place.” Xavier stated the reason why they were there. Doing so though he placed his hand gently on Y/n’s back to grab her attention from their surroundings, so she can focus on the conversation.

“We do try our best to stay in tip top shape. And that's excellent! Y/n is there any type of breed that you had in mind?” Leah questioned Y/n with zeal.

“N-no. Just whoever I click with.” 

“Awesome! Just follow me right this way to the back!” She sang and made a gesture to follow her. 

“Here let me take this and you worry about looking around.” Xavier said to Y/n, taking the oxygen tank from her hands that was rolling behind her. 

“Thank you Xavier.” 

“No problem Miss Y/n.”

“Okay this is where all our felines reside, over here we have our dog breeds. Down on the far left we have our birds, then our reptiles on the far right, and then in the center our smaller breeds, where they reside. Is there any room you would like to start with first?” Leah informed us as she gestured where everyone was.  Looking at Leah nervously Y/n couldn’t decide, so she chose the first thing that popped into her head.

“D-dog hybrids if possible?”

“Alright right this way!” Leah nodded and agreed, gesturing to the two to follow her. Upon entering the area for the dog hybrids Y/n couldn’t believe how many were there, and how many different breeds she saw. It made her sad to see them without a home. But seeing them seemed to lift her mood and brought a few positive thoughts on the idea of possibly adopting a hybrid. After talking to a few hybrids and mingling around Y/n thought that many were adorable. But Y/n couldn’t bring herself to tell Leah that she wanted to adopt anyone. Y/n felt sad… but she didn’t have the feeling that she described as the ‘click’ that she so desperately wanted. 

“Did anyone catch your eye Miss L/n?” Leah asked with a kind smile.

“No sorry,” Y/n mumbled as she looked down nervously. Y/n felt bad to say so but she couldn’t bring herself to lie.  

“That’s okay. Just take your time okay!” Leah stated reassuring Y/n with a pat on her shoulder. Leah could see how nervous Y/n was so she wanted to reassure as much as she could, and make Y/n feel comfortable. Also seeing the oxygen tank, and assessing Y/n, observing how she acted, Leah can very much tell what Y/n needed. And one hybrid came to Leah’s mind instantly. So as soon as the thought came to her mind Leah hoped her plan would work in the hybrid’s favor, as she escorted the two to the next holding center.

“Alright how about we go over here to the felines?” Leah suggested. Which led Y/n to nod and follow with Xavier close behind. 

“Here Xavier I’ll take it.” Y/n offered to take the oxygen tank out of his hand, and place it on her shoulder so she could walk around.

“Alright dear. Remember to take your time.”

“Okay!” Y/n beamed as she was starting to become more excited about the idea of adopting a hybrid. Mingling once again amongst the hybrids in the room Y/n had pleasant talks with everyone who approached her. But with everyone she talked to she didn’t feel the ‘click’. 

After talking to all of the feline hybrids in the room there was one who she didn’t talk to. The hybrid she didn’t talk to was sitting at a table alone seemingly immersed in his drawing. He was a handsome male hybrid with brown eyes and wavy ebony hair that had two fluffy orange ears with black stripes. His tail was also orange with black stripes which swayed behind him lazily as he drew. With the ears and tail it gave Y/n the hint he was most likely a tiger hybrid. Being he was the last hybrid in the room Y/n hadn’t talked to she wanted to give him a chance to talk to her. So with a deep breath Y/n dug up all the courage she had and made her way towards his table. 

“H-hello, can I sit?” Y/n stuttered nervously as she fiddled with the strap of her bag that held her oxygen tank.

 Hearing her seemed to startle him out of his own little world, but looking up he was amazed at what he saw. A beautiful young woman with h/c h/l hair was standing next to him with large e/c innocent eyes. But upon seeing her he could tell she was nervous so shaking himself out of his dazed he hurried to answer. 

“Hi, and sure.” He allowed Y/n to join, getting up he pulled out a seat for her. Him doing this for her made Y/n blush which didn’t go unnoticed by him. Smiling he sat back down and continued his drawing, but not totally into his drawing as he was before. His focus was on the gorgeous woman beside him who seemed to try and contain her nervous tics that he could still see.

“Can I ask what you're drawing?” Y/n asked, trying to start a conversation. Upon hearing this he looked at Y/n and shrugged, pushing the drawing over to her. Looking at the drawing Y/n saw it was of a picture of a butterfly settled on a flower. 

“Wow, it's so pretty.” Y/n praised with a smile upon seeing the picture he drew. It truly was beautiful and well thought out with details that were unique.   

“It isn’t even finished, I have to add color.” He mumbled while blushing hearing Y/n’s praise.

“T-true but I can still see the details and emotion you put into it. It’s lovely.” Y/n explained to him as she handed the picture back to him carefully. 

“Thank you.”

“What’s your name?” Y/n finally had the courage to ask after getting more comfortable with him. He seemed to ease Y/n’s nervousness that she had so much of, upon coming to the building. Now all Y/n seem to have was excitement on her mind now after meeting some of the hybrids. But Y/n wasn’t going to lie she found the hybrid she was talking to now to be the most interesting one she had conversed so far. Which led her curiosity to get the best of her.

“Taehyung. What's yours?” Taehyung smiled widely asking as he turned to Y/n giving her his full attention, as his tail swayed happily behind him. Y/n couldn’t help but chuckle at the cuteness that was shown in front of her. 

“That’s a nice name. Mine’s Y/n L/n,” Y/n offered as she smiled back at Taehyung. 

“That’s a pretty name,” Taehyung admired, smiling as he watched Y/n blush and look down, pushing her h/c hair behind her ear.  

“T-thank you.” Y/n smiled, finding the courage to look back up at him with a wide smile of her own. Looking at her again Taehyung found himself admiring Y/n once again. She was just so beautiful and kind, it drew him in instantly. It had been such a long time since he had met a nice human beside the ones that worked here at the adoption agency. But for the first time something caught his attention, it was the tank and the connected tubes hanging from her nose and ears.

“What's that?” Taehyung asked curiously, pointing to the tubes.

“Oh these are nasal tubes and that's an oxygen tank they help me breathe.” Y/n informed with a smile unfazed by the question.   

“Why do you need them? You can’t breathe?” Taehyung questioned with worry.

“I have trouble at times. I don’t have the most healthy lungs,” Y/n spoke with a smile.

“Oh that must suck. Are you okay now?” He asked, still worried. 

“Yes it does. And I’m fine thank you for asking,” Y/n reassured him as she was touched he would ask her such a thing. 

“No problem, I would want someone to ask me if it were me,” Taehyung smiled at her once again. Y/n couldn’t help but smile back because he had such a contagious smile. After that the two talked to each other more, getting to know random things about one another without even noticing. The two took to drawing as they talked. They were on the subject of Y/n’s book cover that she created herself with her own photography skills, when Leah came over. She came to tell Y/n that there were other hybrid rooms that they could still see if she wanted to. Which Y/n went  reluctantly. Not without sending a sad smile to Taehyung as she gave him the picture they drew together, which was a picture of a plethora of flowers. Even though she was off meeting other hybrids Y/n still had Taehyung on her mind. The feeling Y/n had when she spent time talking with Taehyung was exactly what she had been looking for… ‘the click’ she wanted to experience so desperately. What Y/n didn’t know at the time though was Taehyung couldn’t seem to rid her of his thoughts as well.

“Well that is all of our hybrids. Did anyone catch your attention Y/n?” Leah had asked after hours of escorting Y/n and Xavier around the building all the hybrid rooms. And already having made up her mind Y/n nodded quickly with excitement and a wide smile. Seeing her like this Xavier and Leah both smiled at the young woman.

“Actually yes, is it possible if I can see Taehyung again?” 

“Sure you can. Let me take you to his room.” Leah said instantly, hoping that this meant that Taehyung would finally be adopted. After seeing Taehyung go through so much the elder woman hoped it meant that Y/n was considering it. Leah could tell that Y/n was a kind and respectful young woman, though she had her flaws. Leah knew Y/n would take care of Taehyung, especially after seeing the interaction between the two Leah knew that the two would be perfect for each other. So with a wide and hopeful smile Leah gestured for Y/n and Xavier to follow her to Taehyung's personal room.

“Thank you!” Y/n beamed following behind with a bright smile. Y/n was still a little nervous but hopefully it would go well with what she had planned to ask Taehyung.

“Should I come with you?” Xavier asked Y/n worried, before she went into Taehyung’s room.

“No it’s okay I can go by myself,” Y/n reassured him with a tired but bright smile. Even though Y/n was tired from the eventful day she still was happy that she came. Taking a deep breath Y/n once again dug up some more confidence and continued to Taehyung's room. Knocking Y/n smiled when she heard Taehyung shout out a ‘come in.’ Upon entering his room she was met with Taehyung sitting on his bed reading a book.

“Hi Taehyung,” Y/n greeted him with a gentle but nervous smile. 

“Hi Y/n. What are you doing here?” Taehyung was confused as to why she was there but still smiled happy to see her once again. What had Taehyung worried though was that he could hear Y/n’s heart beating faster than usual, making his ears twitch. Taehyung knew that Y/n was nervous and even though he didn’t know her health problems, Taehyung knew that couldn’t be good for her.  

“I actually wanted to ask you a question. I-if possible?” Y/n stuttered as she fiddled with the tubes connected with her tank.  

“Sure what is it?” Taehyung asked gently, not wanting to make her even more nervous then she was. 

“Would you maybe umm l-like to umm,” Y/n stuttered again but having trouble with her breathing for a moment. Y/n was so nervous that she was shaking. This was a big moment not just for her but for Taehyung too, and she knew that. 

“It’s okay, sit down. Take deep breaths,” Taehyung instructed her as he guided her to his bed to sit. He didn’t know what was making her this nervous but he felt helpless seeing her like this. So gently Taehyung took Y/n’s hands into his, hoping that it would ground her, and waited for her as she took deep breaths to control her breathing. After a while having herself under control Y/n blushed embarrassed but smiled when she looked down at their hands that were intertwined which caused her to go off in a daze. But Y/n’s attention was brought back upon hearing Taehyung’s voice.

“What was it you wanted to ask me?” Taehyung asked softly, trying not to overwhelm her. Y/n looked at him for a moment to rethink her decision. She thought of all of the pros and cons once again. Thinking about them over again after being at the adoption center made her happy because now there were more pros then there were cons. So with these thoughts in mind she asked the  big question that would change everything.

“Would you like to be adopted by me?” Y/n asked with a smile.

“Really? You want to adopt me?” Taehyung questioned with shock. He didn’t expect for her to ask this question. Out of all the questions he thought she would ask this was not one of them. 

“Y-yes if it’s okay with you.” She stuttered with nervousness after hearing the questions he asked. Y/n knew she wanted to ask his permission first before even thinking about going through with the adoption. She wanted to give Taehyung a choice because this would change his life as well, not just hers. Before Y/n could think up any negative thoughts though they were cut of by hearing Taehyung’s answer.

“I would love that!” Taehyung exclaimed as he smiled widely at Y/n. Taehyung still couldn’t believe that this was happening. He would finally be able to leave the walls of this building, and with a person who seemed to actually be genuine and kind. 

“I just want to warn you beforehand that it can be chaotic being around me. I-I-I just wanted to give you a choice.” Y/n said truthfully because she did want to give him a choice in her adopting him. But Y/n also wanted to warn Taehyung what he was getting into with entering her life. 

“You giving me a choice that says something about who you are as a person.” Taehyung started with a smile as he looked at Y/n. He couldn’t help but see Y/n in a new light, because he knew anyone else would have just adopted him, not come and give him a choice on the matter. So with much emotion Taehyung leaned forward and gave Y/n a gentle hug.

“Thank you so much Y/n,” Taehyung said with sincerity. Having his arms around her Y/n froze, not having a hug in such a long time. But a smile crept upon her face realizing she didn’t feel panicked instead she felt content. So filled with such feelings Y/n slowly leaned into the hug and wrapped her arms around Taehyung.

“I hope you don’t get tired of me.” Y/n chuckled to Taehyung as they leaned out of the hug after a moment to look at each other. 

“How could I? You’re giving me a chance at living a life outside of these walls.” He said and smiled at her again. Taehyung couldn’t remember a time he had smiled so much, but he couldn’t help but hope this would be the beginning of more smiles in his life.   

 “Come on let's tell them,” Y/n beamed at Taehyung. Standing up from the bed Y/n hesitantly held out her hand for Taehyung. Who looked at it still not being able to believe this was happening to him again. But this time he couldn’t help but think this was going to go well despite the past adoptions that he went through. So with much trust he hesitantly took her hand and let Y/n lead him out of the room. 

“I would like to adopt Taehyung,” was the first thing Y/n beamed when she was met with the questioning looks of Leah and Xavier. Both had very different reactions but the same nonetheless. Xavier smiled at Y/n and the hybrid that was next to her. Xavier could tell the two would be perfect for each other after observing their interaction earlier and also seeing the two now. Leah though couldn’t help but exclaim with excitement for the two.

“Congratulations! I’m happy for you two! We can start the papers today and you can come pick Taehyung up in a few days!”
