Y/n L/n joins her undesignated sister Hayley Marshall on her trip to New Orleans to find her birth parents. Sitting in the back of a car in front of a building was a young woman named Y/n L/n.

Y/n was a talented successful writer. Y/n was so talented she had books that were best sellers all over the world. She was still coming along good with her books too. With her rising as a bestselling author over the years many other things came along as well. Things along the lines of houses, cars, and fans. But just because Y/n had all these things didn't mean she was the happiest person. Y/n was grateful for all she had but that didn't mean Y/n didn't have her problems. Y/n could never escape her past nor her health problems, which were many.

Y/n's health problems made her life difficult but she tried to enjoy life to the fullest knowing it could be worse. Her health pertained to her mental and physical health. Those things were ADD, Manic behavior, depression, anxiety, PTSD, being her main mental problems. Physically she had the crappiest lungs which caused her to carry a oxygen tank with her at times (like now), leading her to have severe chronic asthma, she also had a low immune system meaning she was able to get sick easier. Y/n knew she had it rough but couldn't bring herself to complain knowing others had it worse than her. So all she did was take it one day at a time and dealt with all her problems as best as she could.

These problems though caused Y/n to see a therapist. This started from a young age to help Y/n with her feelings along with the events that have happened to her in the past to her most recent life events. Y/n never really had conflicted feelings with her therapist until now. Because right now Y/n was about to make a big change in her life upon the request of her therapist.

At the moment Y/n was looking upon the vast building in front of her anxiously. Y/n had so many thoughts running through her mind at the moment both positive and negative. She honestly didn't know what to do as she looked at the building with worry.

The building was an adoption agency... an adoption agency specifically for hybrids.

Yes, in this world hybrids were real, being discovered years before Y/n was born. And right now Y/n was glued in her seat, scared at what she was about to get herself into with the possibility of adopting one today. Will he or she like Y/n? Will they accept Y/n and her differences? Will they be able to adapt to Y/n's way of living? Y/n's thoughts were cut off by someone in the driver's seat clearing their throat to catch her attention.

"Miss Y/n its about time that we get going in don't you think?" They asked softly. That someone was Y/n's human butler who has been with her ever since the first book she wrote was a bestseller, which was five years ago when she was eighteen.

Xavier Johnson was his name and he was a man in his late thirties. Xavier knew everything about Y/n's health and past which led him to take the job, especially when he found out she was a caring and humble young woman who needed the extra help in life.

"Do you think I should do this Xavier," Y/n whispered nervously as she played with the tube connected to her oxygen tank.

"Personally I think you should. You need the companionship along with the socialization and who knows maybe it'll be different with a hybrid. But that is just me, you should do what you're comfortable with." Xavier told her straightforwardly, wanting her to know his thoughts. Which Y/n took into consideration. It took her minutes to rethink everything and ready herself for this big change in her life.

"Okay let's go then."
