Jasico Bingo Challenge #20!!

Prompt: Royal AU

The party was boring, in Nico’s opinion. Royals from all over had come cluttering into his father’s castle for the annual party thrown there.

Nico hated it since the day he was old enough to attend. A bunch of old people he didn’t care about sat in a room and talked about their country's wars until they started arguing, and then the night ended in shambles.

He thought this year would be just as boring until a few of Zeus’s allies showed up. His warriors, gods, and children roamed the party, threatening nothing but trouble.

Nico smiled as he watched them toy with guests. Hades, however, was not smiling. He was livid.

Nico walked out onto the party’s stage towards his sister, Hazel. She looked over at him and smiled.

“Enjoying yourself?” Nico asked.

“I know you don’t care for these parties, but they’re wonderful opportunities!” She said, grabbing his hands.

Nico rolled his eyes. “Oh, are you going to find me a suitor here?” Hazel laughed, but there was a hint of truth behind the giggle.

“How about him?” She said, pointing towards a short man with cropped hair. The two watched him talk with the people around him.

Nico considered. “He seems rather…bland.

Hazel nodded, looking for someone more to her brother’s taste. Her eyes landed on a tall man with dark hair. “Him?” She asked, grinning.

“Not my type,” Nico said, making a face.

Hazel groaned. “You should get out there! You’re too wonderful to only enjoy the company of your shadows.”

Nico rolled his eyes. He scanned over the party himself. His eyes landed on a tall man with blonde hair. He wore blue robes and smiled kindly at a man he was talking with.

“There, he’s perfect,” Nico laughed.

“Go talk with him!”

“In no world would that happen.”

Hazel groaned. “Nico! How are you meant to find a suitor if you refuse to talk to anyone.” She pouted.

“Maybe I don’t need a suitor. Marriage is a luxury, but not a necessity.”

Just then, the blonde man locked eyes with Nico. He smiled a stupid grin. Nico turned, trying to act like he wasn’t staring as well.

Hazel laughed. “Oh, he’s coming over here!” She said.

“I see that.”

She chuckled. “Good luck.”

“Wait what? Where are you going?”

With that, she turned her heel and walked back inside, leaving Nico to lean on the marble railing in anticipation.

The man approached, finally. He smiled and took Nico’s hand, kissing the back of his palm. “Your radiance has enraptured me. What is your name, heavenly angel?”

Nico tried not to blush. “Nico Di Angelo. Son of-”

“I care not who your parent is,” Jason interrupted, smiling, “tell me about yourself.”

“I am the king of ghosts,” Nico said reluctantly. The name seemed to loom above him, impossibly large. “I am also the prince of the underworld.”

“My, my prince,” the man smiled. “I am Jason Grace. I must leave your light, but I do hope to return to it soon again. Farewell, for now, King of Ghosts.” Jason said before kissing his cheek and leaving for a group of young people who seemed to know him waving him over.

Hazel returned from inside the castle, snickering.

“Was it a luxury?” She asked, laughing.

Nico laughed. “You are a new kind of cruel.”

“How was he? Was he the man of your dreams?”

Nico sighed, expelling love from his very lungs. “He was wonderful, I’m afraid.”

Jasico Bingo Challenge #22!!

Prompt: Jason Lives

Nico had been pacing around camp all day. He hadn't been eaten yet, despite it being well past noon. He couldn't do anything but worry.

He thought he was going to walk a hole into his floor with all his walking. His lips hurt from chewing on them all day, trying to find anything to momentarily distract him. The blood creeping from his cracked lips was certainly a distraction.

He tapped his foot to fill every silence, but couldn’t manage to get his mind off anything but Jason.

What really worried Nico happened a few days ago. He was notified of every death of someone he knew, and last week he’d had that familiar blaring in his ears. It was a sound he’d come to recognize easily. So much so that he often heard it in his dreams and woke up to force himself into scouring the underworld.

All Nico could picture was Jason, being asked by Apollo to leave the safety of his dorm and run into the arms of a quest he hadn’t even signed up for. The thought made him angry all over again, but it was soon consumed by his fear in some cruel cycle of overthinking.

He searched all of Elysium and Asphodel for a familiar face but hadn’t found anyone. Usually, that was a comfort, but now it was the worst feeling in the world. Nico felt sick to his stomach, and he stood from his desk chair to pace once again.

He was snapped from his thoughts by a knocking on his door. Nico decided now that today would either be the best or worst day of his life.

His heart swelled more than it ever could’ve sunk. He considered not even opening the door, letting himself walk a hole from his wooden floor into Tartarus for all eternity.

He sighed and pulled the doorknob, deciding he had to face it.

The big black door gave way to a kind smile and the biggest bear hug Nico had ever been pulled into.

Jason kissed his head as he held him tightly. Nico practically clung to him, praying he would never leave again.

“Hey there,” Jason laughed to avoid sobbing.

“Hey,” Nico laughed back, blinking away tears.

“Miss me?”

“Obviously.”

Keith thought for a second. "I could be persuaded. What are your conditions." He leaned on the counter, examining Lance with those piercing eyes.

Lance took a deep breath, remembering the rules he'd made up in the car as he sped down the street. "At the end of our shifts, we compare who got the most tips. You can pick what you want if you get more, but if I get more, you have to go on a date with me," Lance grinned, winking.
