Can we talk about Adam and the other Exorcists having horns

earlier I was talking to my friend about demon/angel traits and how angels usually have wings/lots of eyes and demons have tails/horns and like. Why are Adam and the Exorcists the only angels with horns. Why, specifically, were their masks designed with horns. As far as I remember, none of the other angels have tails (outside of the Cherubs, who are animal-based) or horns. The only reason I can come up with is they’re (obviously) intended to come off as demonic, everything from the robotic/stitched, artificial expressions, X’d-out eyes, curled horns, darker/neutral coloring, and bloodthirsty attitudes

Sure the other angels kinda fucking suck too but nothing about them screams demonic, none but the Exorcists. They’re intentionally made to look like that, maybe it’s foreshadowing, maybe to express just how bad they can really be, maybe to show they’re not all that different from demons

Notice the color inversion, canes, stripes, and overall themes of the suits. They’re performers, through and through, and proud of their crafts

Does Lucifer remind you of anything? His suit in particular? Well, you might say, a circus ringmaster. And what, exactly, does this picture resemble?

A circus, some might say. Why, exactly, have both demonic versions of Alastor in this style reflected a circus big tent?

Not to mention during the song More Than Anything, the background is in a goddamn big tent

So many aspects of these characters reflect or parody the other, not to mention the banter and dynamic set up between them. Do I think they’ll ever be canon? No, not a chance. Do I think they’re amazing cinematic parallels? Fuck yeah I do
