They have mastered electricity, and it is slowly making its way across the land. Automatic lighting and telephones were created in Perido. It is also the dragons' hearth. Joonian are compassionate and assertive, strong-willed and hotheaded. Balance is a powerful core value. If something is not right, it will be corrected to preserve Joonia's health. Authorities are present to maintain peace.

Economy

Joonia profits from mining ores in the scattered mountains. Iron, steel, and copper are the three common ores, often utilized in construction. More precious metals such as silver and gold are sent to Peridon jewelers. Luxurious jewelry is made by dragon craftsmen. Their works are delicate and intricate, and each craftsman has their own personal signature in them. The mountains also contain an ore called dragonite, which is used in rural homes and those who cannot afford electricity. Seafood is common on the coast; cured meats and forest game is common to inner Joonia. Grain and livestock are imported from Jinaia and Hobius.

Environment & Climate

A majority of mountains within Joonia are snow-capped, which causes flooding in the spring. Despite this, Joonia is a snowy, cold country for most of the year. Blizzards can last for days, even weeks. Due to the freezing environment, the dirt and air is dry and brittle, so Joonians compensate with greenhouses full of fresh fruits and veggies. Forests are sparse, offering little protection from the harsh winds. Joonian trees are tall and similar to our world’s evergreen trees. Forest underbrushes are often silent.

Namjoon as High Dragon Lord

Background

He is the sole reason Perido is in the Windstorm Mountains. As a dragon, Namjoon has the habit of isolating himself from his people, reclusive in his cold stony castle. That irrational fear that they’ll hurt him still lingers. He is incredibly ancient, born into the world of Crystallia before it was the Continent. Namjoon remembers the slaughter of all peoples, the Cleansing, fellow dragons call it, and while dragonfolk were not forced to extinction, they were hunted for their teeth, claws, and scales. Despite his dark history, Namjoon is a gentle and stern ruler, treating all his subjects the same. He only wants the best for them, and to prevent his species from going extinct. He is only one of a thousand dragons left.

Personality

Namjoon is a centuries-old dragon, so as time progressed, so did he. The High Dragon Lord is assertive and mighty, strong and wise. However, while he may seem regal and composed, beneath his well-mannered facade is a broken being, mourning the loss of his people. It haunts him to this day, and he has no one to share this burden. Although it rarely bothers him, Namjoon chooses to be positive despite his dwindling species. Namjoon is a little clumsy; he has broken more than a few things in his castle. He does have a dragon form, but he has not shifted in a long while. Namjoon prefers his mortal guise, but his reptilian eyes remain, along with shimmering scales on his cheekbones.

Although the Continent is at peace, each country has prepared forces ready for battle. These forces are for external invasion rather than internal.

Joonia’s strongest battalions are the aria (airforce) and the navia (navy). A small section of Joonia shares its borders with the sea, which the navia sweeps frequently for possible dangers. The aria performs weekly rounds above Joonia for the same reason.

Religion

Joonian humans practice armina, along with catallia, lukana, jedwa, and ismala. Atheism is also accepted in Joonia. In the past, dragonfolk also worshiped Armi, but with time, they forgot her and let her rest.
