Hey so like I figured creepypasta tumblr might would like this, maybe just out of boredom or if you need like, an idea for an oc story i guess??

Anyways, let me state at first that like— to any normal person this is honestly just very coincidental. It’s nothing special, but because of the timing i figured it’d be something interesting?? Lol idk

So, here’s your warning for mentions of funerals and death. Actually— that’s like pretty much all that this post even is

To start off, let me say that i’m someone who often worries about death, about everything involving the end of life. Often it’ll really bother me, but these days it’s really rare that i obsessively worry over it like i used to.

This morning happened to be worse than normal though. I don’t know, i was just kind of unable to think about anything else going on. Like my mind was stuck on loop.

This year, my dad and a family friend passed away. In fact, the last death occurred only three weeks ago. Possibly two but i’m awful at math.

Each of those times, i kept just seeing the weirdest stuff pop up. A bad gut feeling, the obsessive thinking. A funeral procession, a house fire, a dangerous storm, waking up in the middle of the night with no reason.

Recently, it’s gotten worse. After years of therapy, i’m able to manage most of my anxiety and other issues. Like i said, not gone, but manageable.

Up until I checked the mail about twenty minutes ago, i had kind of forgotten about my worries this morning.

When i got the mail out of the mailbox, it was just bills and such. At the very least it was until i got to the very bottom of the stack.

A funeral home ad.

I was reading the little plastic ad, and although it’s a normal type of slogan for a business of that kind to have, i can’t lie and say that the whole slogan about ‘planning early for your funeral’ didn’t come off as unsettling, given the thoughts i’d had earlier today. Part of me is wondering if it’s possible to try and reach out to the business or the mail service to possibly stop getting ads from the funeral home, since i have a bad habit of taking little things like this and blowing them out of the water in terms of actual meaning.

Yeah this is honestly just something that creeped me out a bit, but if any of you wanna use it as oc lore feel free to be my guest lol
