I have finally met a parent looking for the cheapest bed for his kid that I can actually respect.

This guy picked out a horrible bed in a box under the assumption it was for him. He admitted at checkout it was for his son. This would usually result in me thinking he was a wanker since he dismissed one bed as “too nice”. But then he told me his son was sleeping in a Mazda. Even with a good job he can’t afford rent, so he’s sleeping in his car trying to save up. So his parents just bought him a van, built a platform and just got a twin mattress for it so that he can actually lay down at night. I helped the guy fit the mattress into the guys new home.

At once the most heartwarming and wretchedly dystopian thing I’ve ever heard.
