This Is My Favorite Danish Painting. Look At The Lifeand Lovethats Coming From Her.

This is my favorite danish painting. Look at the life and love that’s coming from her.
The woman is Marie Krøyer, the painter her husband P. S. Krøyer. This painting is from the beginning of their marriage, before everything went wrong. They were so happy. Where her husband later only painted her as a distant goddess, this painting is a happy, wild woman in love.
Years later her husband would be insane, she would have a child she didn’t know how to care for and lost painting dreams.
I can only advice to look her and her husband up, I love their paintings, but it’s such a sad story.

I think a lot about how our culture almost exclusively anthropomorphizes jellyfish as if the outside center of the bell is the “top of their head,” like this:

But…..if we think of an animal’s “front” as the direction it moves in, and we factor in that MANY jellyfish (not just box jellies, either) have eyes or at least simple light-sensitive eyespots all the way around the rim of the bell, then the “face” of a jellyfish would actually be this:

Conversely, if you think of an animal’s face as wherever its “mouth” points, or at least wherever food goes in, then the visual characterization of a jellyfish should be more like this:

I read this as "Crime isn't real" and I just kept on scrolling, before I was like wait

I’m sick of having to argue that “trans women lose their “““biological advantage””” when they start E” as a way to try and overturn the bans in trans women in sport, as if testosterone magically makes you a world-class athlete and estrogen takes it all away. Fuck that. We need to go back to demanding thar sports stop being segregated by gender completely.
hi, ummm. this is awkward. haha. yeah um do you think you could push your boulder up somewhere else? like a different hill? because this one’s kind of already taken. yeah it’s the one i’ve decided to die on, so.
