Ethan, knowing exactly the kind of person you were, was very aware of that but he kept his mouth shut about it. It wasn't like he minded the complete unawareness you seemed to have about your surroundings, quite the opposite. But gods did he wish you would take a little more time to pay attention... "Whatever you say, angel. I'll hold you to that." "I'm serious, Ethan." "And I believe you." The bickering continued for a bit before Ethan caught you from falling over a rock, ironically, the same rock you had tripped over that same day. "See ? I told you I'd believe that it came out of nowhere." He smirked, pulling you closer to his side so you wouldn't get hurt again. Balance was what he fought for and you were absolutely his perfect balance.
