He thought it was cute how you managed to trip over the air or not notice the very apparent social queues in the room, but he’d never let you know that. He was the kind of person who always had his guard up, and could probably catch a fly with the amount of grace he had. You were the opposite. But maybe that's what made him like you so much... You were sitting in the infirmary, and Will was practically tallying how many times you had been in there that week alone. Nine times, not counting the time you accidentally fell into the infirmary while chasing your cabin’s pet. Ethan was sitting on the chair next to you, a fond look io his face as he watched you stand up from the bed. “So.. I’m assuming you won’t be running after any more rabbits, right ?” He teased, when wasn’t he teasing ? You rolled your eyes, almost falling while you stumbled down the steps. “It wasn’t my fault I didn’t see that rock ! It just showed up out of nowhere, honest !” Truth was; that was the biggest, most obvious, rock there was on Camp Half-Blood property. But were you going to admit to that ? Absolutely not. Ethan, knowing exactly the kind of person you were, was very aware of that but he kept his mouth shut about it. It wasn't like he minded the complete unawareness you seemed to have about your surroundings, quite the opposite. But gods did he wish you would take a little more time to pay attention... "Whatever you say, angel. I'll hold you to that." "I'm serious, Ethan." "And I believe you." The bickering continued for a bit before Ethan caught you from falling over a rock, ironically, the same rock you had tripped over that same day. "See ? I told you I'd believe that it came out of nowhere." He smirked, pulling you closer to his side so you wouldn't get hurt again. Balance was what he fought for and you were absolutely his perfect balance.
