After seeing your post, I thought I might have already put "Dp version of Hamlet" on my list of possible fics to write, and I HAD lmao! The only thing is, I don't know enough about Hamlet, I'd have to reread the play first. But yeah it's asking to be written.

I have the opposite problem LOL I know the play pretty well but I’ve never actually seen DP, just sort of know what it’s about. Let me know if you do choose to do anything with it though, I’d be more than interested

To all those interested, here is my essay dissecting the similarities between Undertale and Shakespeare's Hamlet.

For context: this was a final I wrote for my Shakespeare class, which was the first time I've ever read any of his works. This was the first class that I ever wrote on theatre, especially about philosophies concerning how theatre works.

The goal of "Defying Tragedy" was to write about my own theory about fiction, and discussing fictional narratives as green worlds, in reference to Harry Berger's theory of the three worlds. "Defying Tragedy" uses theatre-events to discuss video game narratives in an academic context, therefore bridging that gap between the familiar and unfamiliar, and allowing me to talk about video games in an academic setting (lmao).

I walked into Barnes & Noble to see that Prince Hamlet was the cashier and he was trying to sell his autobiography in play form, Hamlet. He didn’t know who Shakespeare is.
