Misc concepts/vibes/design studies of varying quality for a setting I work on sometimes. Basically, I'm trying to make space vampires without actually making vampires. No non-vampires on this page, but I could figure something out if you so wish.

Humans worshiped the wrong god and pissed it of AM style. Now various noble dynasties sail beetwen the only remaining, slowly dimming red dwarves, hungering black holes and sprawling dust clouds that shine with bleak memories of colours that no one now remembers. The spacefaring highborn prey on their planetbound subjects, harvesting their blood to feed symbiotic alien parasites that they moulded to be their palaces, ships, weapons, tools and their very bodies. Industrialised blood rituals, numerous perversions of human form, monoatomic blade duels/backstabbing and infinitely complex schemes that weave under everything. All that good stuff. Def a grimdark setting.
