A wip I've been working on non-stop for literal days👍

So, i might have fallen in love with the simplicity of flat colours and sticking to like three shades of that same colour, beady lil dot eyes, and flat/stiff clothing

This is so much more enjoyable than all that rendering and my attempts at detailed backgrounds!

And i think I've started properly finding my art style! Which is exciting .^.

They won't have him.

He made sure of that.

He is the equivalent of a piece of dry, stale toast that someone spilled room temperature milk on.

This is my older siblings' first post! they're pretty great, I'd recommend following them if you're interested in funky art, cat pictures, and occasional photography, among other things! (I'm not entirely sure what else they'll post, but probably a lot of cats)

After quite a bit of time spent contemplating what to include in my first post on this app, I've decided to keep it simple and give you a close-up of the painting I've used as my profile picture. :]

That, and a picture of two very real cats whom I have the pleasure of cuddling on a daily basis! Their names are Asta and Bosse, respectively. ^-^

I'm very aware that they both look like fluffy, adorable super villains scheming to take over the world, but I'm also very aware that nothing else would be quite as fitting for these two little antagonists.

I'm very new to this app, and I'll be learning as I go, so please try to be patient with me as I try to figure out all of the features. :']

English is also not my first language, so please forgive me if I use a word or phrase in the wrong context.

What is this about the tumblr staff wanting to sell art data to midjourney?

An ex-colleague of mine mentioned yesterday that there may be contacts between Automattic and midjourney in that direction, but nothing is public yet and I don't have any more info. They probably won't have anything specific to share either, since they left the company weeks ago too. That being said:

I have no reason to doubt my ex-coworker word, they are a trustworthy person.

Tumblr's CEO has been absurdly enthusiastic (comically, even) about AI, and is a big fan of LLMs and 'AI' companies.

A deal with midjourney could solve tumblr financial issues (not the same company, but openAi is paying up to 5 million/year to news companies to use their content as training data... tumblr generates several orders of magnitude more content than any newspaper or any media company and it only would need a 20 to 30 million per year deal to be profitable)

So I don't have any extra info yet, but I'm keeping my ears open.
