The Mortician and His Daughter, Yrmys and Mhrug Mwyrgun

Coming from a line of those in dealing with the matter of corpses, the Mwyrguns have been cleaning up after the dead for generations. Being able to worm their way into the Eolasug made their family venture far more profitable and sustainable, while also being able to impart their knowledge in a respectable academic format rather than the often mystic and delusional morgue practices that had been passed down by their ancestors. Mhrug and Yrmys find themselves in a very particular period about 200 years after the rise of Gryodys, as though their family had been tasked with managing those who had succumbed to the plague of Grey Sore (and had consequently lost quite a terrible number of members to the horrid condition) this wave of infections was especially difficult to route out. Be it a lapse in sanitation or the evolution of a new, more resilient strain, the plague had well and truly laid claim to ahn Kygdamachog nha Drynyra. The bodies never cease, challenging these two of the family to operate at the best of their ability. Yrmys’s age has been showing more as of late, a combination of his years of commitment to the medical sciences and the stress he is laden with in the undertaking of such a pursuit. More worryingly, he has contracted Grey Sore, and though he among others have tried their best in staving off the wretched effects it will progress all the same. Mhrug was still in her earlier education when the current wave had struck, the many ways in which the folk of the Eolasug and beyond had failed to bring a true end to the suffering never ceasing to disturb her. Her deeply internalized fear of contracting Grey Sore encouraged her to dawn her own protective wears, to keep away the foul air and rancid filth. Both have become consumed by their profession, so enraptured by the struggle at hand that they have unfortunately grown more distant and disillusioned. Dying or fighting, it was assuredly so that they were frankly quite sick of all this.

The Bog Knight, the strangest among the beings of his time. After emerging from the very marsh itself he and a varying lot of companions traverse through what struggles Drynola has to endure. He finds himself confronted by all manner of obstacles, be they petty foes, men who reinforce the ills of their societies, systemic threats of unending conflict, the very basis upon which oppression is facilitated and even the personal issues of those trustworthy few. Despite being a creature of monstrous lurking stature and an unsettling piercing gaze he will nevertheless attempt to make amends with those around him and to understand the plights of people he, or perhaps no one, had ever understood.
