One thing I notice about any movie is that if people just use common sense, then most of the issues would not be an issue. For example: Transformers 1: If they examined the shurikens used to kill the men on Air Force 1, then they would quickly realize that the metal was other worldly.
Example 2:
Five Night at Freddies: If Mike simply quit after he knew the animatronics where haunted, non of the events that thretened his and Abby's life would have occured.
I know the movies would be a lot less entertaining, but come on, use a little common sense.
Question: what went thru some artists mind to make this?

Lets make some electrical wires jiggle! *-*

(reader) and Jaime have been friends for as long as you can remember. You both grew up in this small, ghetto town. It might not always be safe, or the nicest place, but it's your home, and you wouldn't trade it for the world. Or… maybe you would if you could bring your families with you. This all takes place before Jaime becomes the Blue Beetle.
After hearing about a party from Jaime’s work, cleaning the Kord household, he invited you to come with. His Uncle Rudy drove you over to the address in the Taco. Jaime's excitement was almost palpable as Uncle Rudy parked the Taco outside the lavish Kord mansion.
You couldn't help but feel a bit overwhelmed by the grandeur of the place. The contrast between the Kord household and your own neighborhood was stark—a reminder of how different life could be.
Uncle Rudy gave you and Jaime a quick nod before pulling away, leaving you standing at the entrance of the mansion. Jaime looked back at you, his face beaming with a mixture of nerves and excitement. “Ready for this?” he asked, adjusting his shirt.
You gave him a reassuring smile. “As ready as I’ll ever be. Let’s do this.”
Jaime led you up the steps and rang the doorbell. It was only a moment before the door swung open, revealing a well-dressed butler. His gaze flicked from Jaime to you with a polite, if slightly curious, expression. “Welcome to the Kord residence. I’m Sebastian. You must be Jaime and…?”
“(reader)” you filled in quickly. “Thanks for having us.”
Sebastian nodded, stepping aside to let you both enter. The inside of the mansion was just as impressive as the outside—opulent and sprawling, with grand chandeliers and walls adorned with art. You tried not to stare too much, though it was hard not to be taken aback by the sheer luxury of it all.
Jaime led you through the house, navigating through rooms filled with guests and the hum of lively conversation. You spotted a few familiar faces among the crowd—people Jaime had mentioned from work or school. They greeted him warmly, and you could tell they were glad to see him. You made sure to introduce yourself and share a few friendly smiles, doing your best to blend into the background.
As the evening went on, you found yourself enjoying the party more than you’d anticipated. The food was amazing, and there was a live band playing some great music. You even managed to make a few new friends who were curious about where you were from.
Jaime, meanwhile, seemed to be in his element, mingling effortlessly and chatting with people. Occasionally, he would check in with you to make sure you were doing okay. Every time he did, his smile was a bit brighter, and you could see how much this meant to him.
At one point, Jaime led you to a quieter part of the mansion—a garden patio with twinkling fairy lights and a serene atmosphere. “This place is pretty incredible, huh?” he said, leaning against the railing and looking out over the lush garden.
“It really is,” you agreed, taking in the view. “It’s like something out of a movie.”
Jaime chuckled. “Yeah, it’s a bit of a change from what we’re used to. But it’s nice to have a break from the usual.”
You nodded, thinking about how different this world was from your own. “I guess we don’t get many chances like this.”
“Exactly,” Jaime said. “And I’m glad you’re here to experience it with me.”
Just then, a voice called out from behind you. “Hey, Jaime! Over here!”
You turned to see a young woman approaching—she looked about your age, with an easy smile and a friendly demeanor. “Hi, I’m Michelle. I don’t think we’ve met before. Are you a friend of Jaime’s?”
You introduced yourself, and Michelle seemed genuinely interested in getting to know you. She invited you and Jaime to join her group, and soon you found yourself in a lively conversation about everything from school to the latest movies. It was refreshing to talk to someone who wasn’t just interested in making small talk but genuinely wanted to connect.
As the night wore on, you and Jaime continued to enjoy the party, and you couldn’t help but feel a twinge of gratitude for the chance to experience something so different from your everyday life. You knew that despite the luxury and the glamour, it was the friendships and the moments of connection that made the evening truly memorable.
Eventually, as the party started winding down and people began to say their goodbyes, Jaime gave you a look that said it was time to head out. You both thanked your new friends and made your way back to the front of the mansion.
Uncle Rudy was waiting for you by the Taco, and as you climbed into the car, you couldn’t help but feel a sense of contentment. The night had been an unexpected delight, and you were grateful for the chance to see a different side of life—even if just for a night.
As Uncle Rudy drove away from the Kord mansion, Jaime turned to you with a grin. “So, what did you think?”
“It was amazing,” you said honestly. “I’m really glad you invited me.”
Jaime’s smile widened. “Me too. I’m just glad we got to share it together.”
You both sat back, enjoying the ride home. The city lights of your small town were a welcome sight, and as you looked out the window, you felt a renewed appreciation for your own world.
