Controversial Take, maybe

I don't like romance-heavy plots. In fact, I do my best to avoid them. However, I do engage in romance media sometimes (though, not if it's romance centered)

You wanna know the trope I hate the most? Forced Proximity.

I hate most romance tropes, actually, and Idek if this is considered Forced Proximity, but let me explain:

Character A doesn't like Character B as anything more than a friend/best friend. But, everyone else thinks that Characters A and B would just be so cute together, so they basically force them into a romantic relationship.

If written correctly, it's a really good slow burn. Usually, though, I hate it.

Why does everyone else get to decide the kind of relationship these two characters get to have? Why does Character A have to fall in love with Character B just because everyone else thinks they're cute together?

Maybe Character B likes Character A romantically, but do they really have the right to push it when Character A has set that boundary? Do any of the other characters have the right to push them past that boundary?

Yes, I realize this is mostly just fandom shipping culture and stuff, but I hate it and I actively avoid it when I can.

Yes, I know I'm not of the most popular opinion on this. It's why it's a controversial take; a soap box.

Yes, I know I'm gonna get a lot of disagreement as on this, but this is my space to say my opinions

So, I just got reminded that Peter's Spidey Sense warned him about something happening to him before anything happened to him, also letting him know that he couldn't do anything about it. Not only that, but I now have realized that his healing ability would've actively tried to keep him alive for as long as it could.

How much pain was he in? To forces working against each other, one to kill him and the other to heal him.

He knew he wasn't gonna survive and his healing ability only prolonged his suffering

..now I'm sad...

Me: Did you know that most people regard Frollo as the best Disney villain?

Dad: Why?

Me: Because he's evil just to be evil

Dad: No he's not; he's evil because of his lust and jealousy

Me: No, most Disney villains are evil because of jealousy, but I can't really think of one that's evil because of lust. Frollo is evil just to be evil. Ursula, Scar, Evil Queen, etc. They're all evil because of jealousy for someone/thing. Mother Gothal wouldn't have even been a villain if the queen and king hadn't taken the flower! I had a point to this...
