Chapter 1 :  The birth of a fairytale

The sound of the birds chirping woke you up early from your slumber, and the light from the cracks of the windows illuminated your bedroom in the sun's golden rays wouldn't let you stay longer in your dream.

You slowly stood up from your bed and stretched out your arms and shoulders. You walked sluggishly to the windows and opened them up, letting the soft breeze caress your face, like a refreshing cold breath.

'Today is a nice day!' You thought and smiled to no one but yourself.

In the meantime, you were careful not to lose too much time of your day, as you had many things to do.

"Let's see..." You opened the notebook on the table and looked inside it. "Visit the bookstore and buy groceries." You mumbled and smiled lightly.

After finishing your breakfast and the chores around the house, you decided it was a good time to leave and get to your original plan.

The walk in the little village was just as exciting as every other day you left your books and went there. The beautiful rose bushes, with the precious rosebuds slowly blooming, the crowded shop with lots of villagers and merchants from different countries searching for the right product to buy and the animals running around free, without a single care in the world.

You chuckled at the loud and silly argument coming from a couple standing on your right.

"But sweetheart, we already have too many eggs for the cake! Why buy more?!" An old man with short stature and a big mustache whisper-yelled, only to get glared down by his two-inches taller wife.

"Too many?! The eggs play an important role in the cake! The kids will be visiting from afar today!" This seemed to shut him up and he hang his head in defeat.

"Now, how about...20 more eggs?" The woman spoke, letting her hand support her enormous chin, which left the man with a gaped mouth.

"20?! Ahhh-" He continued, but you didn't stay for long and moved on while shaking your head.

'Everyone is so energetic in the morning.'

"Ah! (Y/N)! Good to see you again, my dear! What can i get for you?" Without noticing, you were standing out of the bookstore, starring at the new series released from another country. The bookstore owner was the one to question if you needed some help.

"Thank you! Today, i will get this book. I read the summary before and i am ready to buy it!" The shop owner grinned at your enthusiasm and nodded his head many times in a row.

"Yes yes, of course! It is a great book indeed!" He said to himself and waved his hands around in moves that were almost comical. He was like a grandfather to you and very helpful, as well as kind.

"I FOUND IT!" He yelled happily and tried to dance with his hips while on top of the ladder.

You shook your head and helped him down from it. He almost run to the counter and wrapped it up, or dressed as he liked to call it, your book in the best paper he had and pushed it in your hands.

"Now now, go and finish what you have before the night falls!" You looked at him puzzled.

"But you paymen-" You were once again cut off by him walking you out of the shop.

"No need for that! We aren't strangers! Take it as a gift for coming to my aid!" He beamed and closed the doors behind you.

'What a strange man.'

~Chevalier Michel:

From his past, as we learned in the Valentine’s Day event, Chevalier hasn’t eaten a lot of sweets to have a favourite.

Before you got in a relationship, he seemed like he didn’t care about anything else, other than becoming the King.

You always baked, after getting permission from the others and the castle’s staff.

You were used to making sweet pastries and you gave some to all the Princes.

When you got into a relationship, you made all different kind of dishes for him and he loved every single one of them.Not that he would say it directly.

You bet he’ll buy you any cook book you want or anything else.

Sometimes, he refushes to eat what the castle’s chefs made, because you told him that you want to make something special, so you could enjoy it together.

One morning, you decided to prepare a few fruity tarts and Chevalier could smell it while he was working.(It wasn’t very early in the morning, though.)

Clavis laughed at him and Chevalier glared at him.

He accompanies you when he has time and reads a book in the kitchen.

Or he is spending his time teasing you.He loves you so much.

He thinks that you are sweeter than any sweet treat.

He is also so proud of you, he lowkey brags about your skills to his brothers.

He also get jealous when you make something for his brothers, and it shows.

~Clavis Lelouch:

Clavis wanted to put strange things inside.

He changes the jars all the time, so you can, finally, put salt instead of sugar.

Sadly for him, you could smell it, so you changed them again.

He is fake-whining that you won’t let him help, but in reality, he just wants to mess with you.

That was before you became a couple.

He also gets jealous when you bake something for the others, just like Chevalier.

He brags about your cooking/baking skills to everyone and everywhere.He once did it in front of the bureaucrats.Sariel almost smacked him and he doubled his stomach medicine.

He loves hugging you and kissing you while you cook/bake.

But he is secretly such a softie and he wants you to know how much he appreciates whatever you do.

He would have given you compliments even if all the foods you made tasted bad,The thing that these taste good is another one thing that he loves.

You want to get back at him for throwing flour on you.

He lovingly gives you the peeled bananas he doesn’t need with a smirk.

He’ll buy anything you ask for.Even the weirdest ingredients.

~Sariel Noir:

Sariel is almost always stressed, he needs a break from the troublesome collection of Princes.

He probably doesn’t spend a lot of time on food, as he doesn’t care that much.

When you started working in the castle as the one who would choose the next King, you also asked him if you could make food/sweets when you had free time.

He agreed because he remembered that you had a few fresh treats in a container when you first met.

You try to make him stop his work, even for half an hour so he could eat.

He always says that your food is special.

After you became a couple, he continued to praise you for your skills.He talks about you to the others, without realizing it.Although, if someone says something about it, he doesn’t get embarrassed.He only praises you even more than before.

If you ask him nicely enough, and if he has time, he’ll help you.

He also gets his people to buy what you need for your creations.

He gets possessive when someone else compliments you, but he knows you deserve it.

~Yves Kloss:

He would never admit it.He couldn’t.

He couldn’t tell you that he loves your cooking/baking so much that he want to watch you do it again and again.

Your tarts taste like heaven.So fresh and the cream is so fluffy!

When you weren’t a couple, Yves was always telling you that something was missing, but he was the one missing you.

You started baking together and it’s so much fun, that he doesn’t want to go back to the days where he did it by himself.

When you finally decided to tell each other about your feelings, the things started changing.

He praises you in a very tsundere way.Then he praises you sweetly.

Yves makes you try everything so he can kiss you and tell you how good it tastes.

He needs to keep you in his arms for a certain amount of time everyday, or else he misses you too much.

You learn his recipes and he learns about yours.

The two of you visit a lot of restaurants.

He gets jealous of his brothers, except Licht.He has a free pass.

~Leon Dompteur:

Only onw taste of your food/sweets in enough to make him smile on the inside and outside.

He gets super excited when you make something and if you agree, he wants to share it with his brothers.

Leon loves your cooking/baking skills and he informs you as such.

You make him feel all warm and soft, something that he rarely felt when he was younger.

He, before and after you get into a relationship, doesn’t change much.

You get extra cuddles and kisses.

He once wanted to find you so he could ask you to join him for a walk in the town.He felt sad, because he couldn’t find you.Until his nose caught a very sweet and familiar scent.

He followed it and guess what?He found you in the kitchen.

He sneak-attacks you with a hug and ends up getting dirty.

Does he care?No.He wants you anf if that meant he had to get dirty. then so be it.

He leaves small, butterfly kisses across you neck which makes you giggle.

You’re so adorable, he has to brag to someone about your skills.

He always wants to help if he can.

~Nokto Klein:

From the very first time you met with Nokto, he always flirts with you.

And he started using cooking/baking pick up lines on you.

He always teases you and he is thankful for all the times he came out of the kitchen without having something thrown on him (like flour.).

But he is in love, not only with you, your skills as well.

That’s what happends everytime before you get in a relationship.

It changes somewhat afterwards.

Nokto still teases you like there’s not tomorrow, but he hugs you and nibbles on your ears.You’re too precious to him.

He wants to finish his paperwork early, so he can watch you do your magic in the kitchen.

If you ever need a new ingredient for a recipe, he’ll gladly go and buy it himself.

Although, you have to pay him back, in a way only you could.(You can start with giving him cuddles and go on a date with him.)

He annoys his brothers that he works with, with his bragging and praising.

His eyes sparkle when he sees you!

~Licht Klein:

He doesn’t say a lot about it, but his actions speak louder than his words.

He eats or at least, tries everything you make.

Licht can sense it (and smell it) when you make sweet treats.

Tries to act distant, like he doesn’t care, but he slowly opens up more and more.

He won’t admit it out loud, but he thinks that whatever you cook/bake is tastier than anything else he ever had.

When you two become a couple, he is always smiling softly at your figure, as you do what you enjoy.

He won’t annoy you.He knows how important it is for you.

You always ask him to go with you, so he can “taste-test” his favourites.

If you made a cake and you’re waiting for it to cool down, he’ll wrap his arms around your waist and nuzzle his cheeks on yours.

Of course, he won’t say anything to Yves, he doesn’t want him ti get worried on his own skills.

He’ll softly talk about it to Leon, Jin and Yves.He is getting teased by Leon and Jin.

~Rio Ortiz:

Rio always tells you how lovely everything tastes, but the dishes could never be as lovely as you.

He showers you in compliments and praises.Every single time, because you are his angel.

Sariel wants to slap him for being so loud and energetic, but he tries not to.

He even brags about you when you’re studying.

Rio knew about your skills before you even went to the castle.

He tried to find jobs that had to do with cooking/baking to help you.

After getting in a relationship, you inform him when you’ll go in the kitchen.He follows you like an excited puppy.

He wants to help you and he does.Although, he enjoys watching you more.

Rio is sure that you are the most graceful being in the world.The way you move, how you make even the foods he didn’t like, into the best delicacies.

He always hugs you, congratulates you and then asks you to marry him.

He loves you so much, he can’t help it.

~Jin Grandet:

Jin tries not to love you.And then, you go in their shared office to give them the best cookies he ever eaten in his life.

He already loves your personality and now you go and give them the most tasty treat that reminds him of that sweet warmth he feels next to you.

You might not have been a couple yet, but that doesn’t stop him from lovingly carresing you head (with you permission) and praising you.

After you get together, he continues doing what he was doing anyway, and you also get surprise kisses and hugs.

He nibbles on your ear and whispers how you are the most tasty treat for him and only him.

You don’t let him in the kitchen, because he is a disaster.

Jin calls you his and takes you in his arms until everything is ready.

You have had a few playful food fights.

He always wants to be the one who gets the first taste.

He talks about you, especially to Leon, Luke and Clavis.

Clavis tries to make him jealous and Jin wants to flick him.

~Luke Randolph:

The first time you went into the castle and after being given the permission to use the kitchen, you made honey covered pastries.

Luke decided that if you like honey, then you’re good for the role of choosing the next King.

He gets you jars full of fresh honey and boxes of fresh fruit.

All of that happened before your relationship started.

When you were officially together, he started getting even better at praising your skills and giving you whatever you needed.

Sometimes Luke searches for you around the castle and when he finds you in the kitchen, he kisses your forehead softly and hugs you.

Whenever you bake honey covered/filled treats, you let him be you taste tester.

Luke normally wants to eat all of them, but he understands how hard you work, so he leaves for the others too.

He is constantly praising you and talking about you to Jin.Clavis also hears them, because he is the biggest goshipper that lives in the castle.

If you’ll ask him, he’ll gladly help you after his  work is done for the day.
