The day after Mickey came out Svetlana was still trying to win him over. Hence the strap on and offering to fuck him with it. I got that.

But also. And I just got this today. Her hair. She dyed it red. Like Ian's. SHE WAS TRYING TO RESEMBLE IAN SO MICKEY WOULD LOVE HER.

Look at her, it's like exactly the same shade of red. Man, Svetlana was just as much a victim of the circumstances as Mickey was. All she wanted was for the baby to grow up with decent parents. They really did her dirty.

Not a SINGLE day goes by where I don't DESPISE with all my heart whoever was responsible for the finale of the season 4 in regards to Ian and Mickey. Dude. Give them a fucking break. I'm not even kidding give them ONE(1) episode of happiness. Why did it have to be depression hours after the Mickey's coming out? Seriously all I ever fucking asked for WAS ONE EPISODE OF HAPPINESS. THEY DESERVE IT. WE DESERVE IT. ONE EPISODE WHERE THEY DON'T GO THROUGH THE MOST VILE SHIT KNOWN TO HUMANITY. ONE.

You know what I'm going to keep going actually. Ian getting depression and his family finally realizing he had bipolar disorder was very important to his character so it couldn't have been done in the next season. BUT they could have EASILY pushed the plotline one episode back. Like instead of Mickey going to find Ian at episode 7 he could have done it at episode 6. Literally nothing would be different except episode 10 being the coming out episode instead of episode 11. Episode 12 still being the depression episode and now we get episode 11 as a happy episode. COME ON THAT COULDN'T HAVE BEEN THAT HARD TO DO. LET THEM LOVE EACH OTHER IN PEACE FOR ONE DAY JESUS CHRIST THIS IS NOT TOO MUCH TO ASK.

super fun shameless fact! both of these scenes actually were included in 11x04 and they didn’t just ignore/dismiss ian’s mental health in the last season! that would be so silly considering how it was a huge part of his entire character arc!

It's not Ian using a pet name for Mickey per se. I think he says "baby" just like he'd say "dude" or "man". It's just a general way of addressing someone else, not a term of endearment.
