Oh my god guys you know what I just realized. In season 6 and 7 when Mickey was in prison the last interaction he had with Ian was awful and all BUT. Ian told him he was taking his meds. So Mickey, although completely heartbroken by a very cruel Ian, was left with a shred of hope. I like to think that one the things that kept him going when he was locked up was thinking that Ian was doing better. Maybe he even asked Svetlana about him every once in a while and was genuinely happy and proud of him learning to manage his bipolar and getting a job and all that. And then when they met under the bleachers for the first time after season 6 episode 1? And he was wearing an emt uniform??? Hoooolyyyy shit. Brain chemistry altering moment for him. He must have built this image of Ian getting better but then there he was, flesh and bones and mental stability and everything. God I miss them. Not a day goes by where I don't yearn for more Gallavich content.

Blur is playing from Mickey’s shitty speakers as they make out lazily on the bed. Ian had initiated it with a sweet peck but Mickey wanted more. He always wanted more when it came to Ian.

The next song on the album plays as Mickey swings a leg over Ian’s hips, breathlessly singing along when they’re lips aren’t attached.

It’s fun but Ian thinks otherwise.

‘Why do you even like this band’ Ian mumbles as he pulls away.

Mickey furrows his eyebrows and glances over at Ians discarded ‘Gorillaz’ tee.

‘It’s the same singer as your shirt, fuckwit’

‘Wait, what?’
