His marriage with Aphrodite did not work out, she left with another man and he became depressed.

One day he came down to earth and met a man like no other, tall like him, strong like him, called Hercules.

Months later Hephaestus was creating some swords in Olympus when he felt movement inside his belly.

He had put on weight due to eating too much but that kick inside his gut was strange.

He went to his chambers and sat down and could see his huge belly and knew that another lesser god would live on Olympus and be born from his womb.
