Keeper -- a short comic about an angel meeting a robotic lighthouse keeper that doesn't know the world has already ended. Made in about 18 hours for a 24-hour 24-page* black and white comic challenge (that I arrived late to, ha.)
*the actual submission does not include the cover, which was created after the fact for this post.
This was a really great learning experience as someone who's... never really made a completed comic. I ended up really attached to the story by the end of the project (possibly due to all-nighter deliriousness lol) and ultimately am very proud of what I made.There are some things I'd still like to change, particularly text placement, but in keeping with the spirit of the challenge I've elected to leave it as is.
Imagine Capitan Y/N gathering all the ISWM marks together and them following after Y/N through the wormholes like ducklings or that preschool follow the leader rope thing like I can just see the captain going *this is my mark...and this is my mark...and this one....and this one...* or like a Pokémon trainer, gotta gather em all markiplier edition lol I can't draw for shit but would love to see this someday in like an adorable chibi style or smth

bro i hate,,, that i cant go into some of my natural habitats. i would swim and dive and play in the ocean and the depths if i had my body- my ways of protecting myself. but im just a stupid little flesh sack now with no defense or kinships with those around me in the water; they see me as an intruder rather than part of their ecosystem, and so sadly now i am often too scared to go into the sea.
at least with my landbound kins it's easier, being in a park/reserve isn't the same as being in the wild but it's still close, and i can do it without fear of being attacked. i can climb trees and dig holes and eat grass safely- i just wish i could do that in the ocean
