Tim scooped up the tiny, panicked Josh from the floor, grinning like a madman. Josh’s eyes were filled with terror, his tiny voice barely audible.

Over the next few weeks, Tim reveled in his newfound power. He’d dangle Josh over the toilet, taunting him with the threat of being flushed. He’d drop crumbs of food into the cage, laughing as Josh scrambled to eat. Each act of cruelty was a twisted echo of the past, a way for Tim to reclaim his stolen dignity.

Josh was a broken mess. He spent his days cowering in the corner of the cage, haunted by memories of his own bullying. He was living in a nightmare of his own making, each moment a reminder of his past sins.

Tim’s buddies came over one night, and he decided to show off his “new pet.” He placed the cage on the coffee table and popped open a beer, leaning back with a satisfied grin.
